Georgia has two senate seats up for grab in January.

Harris as the front runner.
She looked good in that acceptance thing. If she matures, grows into the job, you guys might be in for another scrum in four years. Better find a young, charismatic Governor and start the grooming process now. Republican Senators make shite Presidents.

we haven't had a republican senator in ages, not DDE, not Nixon, not Ford, not Reagan, neither Bush.

Nixon was. Where did Ford come from?
Just checked. House.
Bush Sr.? Same.

Bush Senior was never a senator. Nixon was the VP when he ran for president and that was his last position when he ran again 8 years later and won. Ford was a congressman when Nixon replaced the VP with Ford

so we really don t have any relevant cases of a GOP senator becoming President, let alone a bad one. Senators who have been presidents in my lifetime

JFK, LBJ, Obama

Biden.
Too soon?

Biden.
Too soon?
He's not president yet. I'd say he's 85% certain to be president-at least for a few months. However, his highest prior position was VP

Funny, when Trump was nominated I was gobsmacked. I wondered how it could happen and I decided that the Republican Party saw him as a route to President Pence. Now many on the right see Biden as a route to President Harris.
There's a commentary buried in that observation somewhere but the cookie is kicking in and I can't untangle it right now.

Democrats should step up (I can only agree with the Republicans that Biden's 'basement campaign' was anything but inspiring, there is a difference between Corona safe and Ostrich behavior) and launch a massive campaign in Georgia aimed at the African American population (32 % of the residents in Georgia are African Americans) It does not seem like they usually vote and I do not know what obstacles Republicans have put in place, but the whole country's Democrats should get involved and help black voters overcome the obstacles that exist. One person per potential voter… It shouldn’t be a problem

Time to get involved for your country and for your future! For real!

Sure, there are African Americans who votes for Trump, but they can't be many considering how he has spoken over the years. It's like the Jews (yes, they existed!) who voted for Hitler before he seized power.
