ITT: Representing LGBT people in commercials in a positive light is somehow bullying the straights. It wasn't very long ago that gays complained about bullying but now that they have the woke upper hand, they are just fine being the bullies.
I have other examples coming in future posts but I will start the thread with this one:
I arrived at the movies early today and sat through a dozen commercials before the previews began. The commercials were promoting products of course, but 3 of them weren't. They were promoting LGBTQ issues because every month is gay pride month. There were no commercials promoting religion, the pro-life movement or the Second Amendment. There were none promoting atheism, the pro-choice movement or more restrictive gun laws.
Why is that? The answer is easy. It's because nobody on either side wants that stuff crammed down their throats when they just paid to be entertained. Nobody wants to pay money to have someone tell them how to feel, think, talk and act. In fact, I've never seen a pre-movie commercial with those 6 other things I listed.
So, how are gays getting away with it? Because they are bullies. As the classic book Animal Farm proves, if a group of living things has an opening to be bullies, they will take it.
What movie did you see?It wasn't very long ago that gays complained about bullying but now that they have the woke upper hand, they are just fine being the bullies.

So this is your... 'best' example? Paid commercial time being available to purchase for some vague "LGBTQ issues" same as anything elseI have other examples coming in future posts but I will start the thread with this one:
Is that what it's about? Thanks. Glad I didn't read it.ITT: Representing LGBT people in commercials in a positive light is somehow bullying the straights.

Recognizing the common denominator is a good first stepWow, 12 responses and they all think Roger Duke is stupid. I'm so shocked.
These vague "LGBTQ issues" commercials you saw... What is it that they were claiming is a sin/cancer?Let's try this. Imagine you go to a movie tomorrow and see 9 commercials advertising products and 3 that didn't . The 3 that didn't were:
1) One with quotes from the Koran claiming homosexuality was a sin.
2) One with quotes from the Bible claiming homosexuality was a sin.
3) One from politicians claiming homosexuality is a cancer.
Why is a gay guy upset about gay people?
You got the first part right, but I will give you an honest answer. I wouldn't care for it but I sure wouldn't consider it "bullying". I probably would consider a theater that doesn't show those kinds of ads in the future as you are FREE to do. Enough complaints and customers speaking with their wallets and things might change. The theater / movie industry is known for catering the LGBT community especially since many are a part of it. My guess is they would actually lose customers if they aired your examples. Either way it's a free-market enterprise exercising their right to present their product as they see fit. It's not like you went to a bakery, and they didn't sell you a personalized cake because you were gay.Wow, 12 responses and they all think Roger Duke is stupid. I'm so shocked.

You're crying about commercials. You're bullied by commercials. That's weak.Wow, 12 responses and they all think Roger Duke is stupid. I'm so shocked.

So that means you would be fine with the 3 commercials I asked about in post #14?You're crying about commercials. You're bullied by commercials. That's weak.
Go back and reread the OP. You have gotten confused somehow. These vague "LGBTQ issues" commercials you saw... What is it that they were claiming is a sin/cancer?
Would representing religion in a positive light be fine with you? Would you be happy about paying money to see it?ITT: Representing LGBT people in commercials in a positive light is somehow bullying the straights.
I tolerate commercials for Volkswagens that's way more offensive than anything in 14So that means you would be fine with the 3 commercials I asked about in post #14?
We should force the baker to sell something he doesn't want to sell. It's not like you went to a bakery, and they didn't sell you a personalized cake because you were gay.
