I can't say I'm not shocked. I hope the allegations are untrue, but if they are true, I hope that Brooks will face the same justice does. From CNN:

Country music star Garth Brooks has been accused of sexual assault and battery in a lawsuit from a “Jane Roe” who says she worked as a hairstylist and makeup artist for the award-winning singer.

The complaint, filed in a state court in California on Thursday and obtained by CNN, states the alleged incidents occurred in 2019. She claims she was once raped by Brooks during a work trip.

Brooks had previously denied his accuser’s claims, though representatives for the country superstar did not immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment in response to Roe’s new lawsuit.

He is still married and by all accounts they seem to be happily married, and recently seen in public holding hands.

She's seeking a jury trial. I doubt she'd be encouraged to do this if her counsel didn't think they could win.

I will likely depart this thread shortly. I think it would be unlikely for Brooks to do that. I suspect this is just a shakedown for a settlement.

Just my opinion and hope I am correct. Hate to see him with such a stain.

The article I read indicates this had been occurring over a period of several years.
