Frontpage’s Man of the Year: Glenn Beck

Again, we see insults and personal attacks. What we don't see here, is you addressing the facts he's presented during his "one-man circus" that's had the White house and democrats in Washington reeling over the last 8 or 9 months.

I presented quite a few FACTS about how Beck's partisan clown act borders on deception, his moronic conspiracy theories and race baiting...

I guess you decided to ignore them and stick with the blissful ignorance to which you accustomed.

Even if I had to pick a Fox commentator as "man of the year" (and it would pain me to do that), it wouldn't be Glenn Beck. That guy is a weirdo.

Lolololol... OK, here we go then...

1. "Glenn Beck says Van Jones is an avowed communist"

From the Politifact article:

"Jones said that while in jail, "I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.' I spent the next 10 years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary."

"In the months that followed," the Express article said, "he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. 'I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,' he said. 'By August, I was a communist.'""

Even the extreme left leaning Politifact had to suck it up and call it "Barely True", so why did you even post this? Besides, this took place on his "Radio Show", not his program on Fox News. His radio show is more about comedy and entertainment, while his Fox show may employ comedy at times, but always discusses the actual facts first.

Glenn beck is a sound bite dream for liberals, because of his comic spin on politics. For those that actually watch his show on Fox, like myself, and don't just rely on sound bites, we know the facts because he lays them out minutes, days and sometimes weeks before he starts joking about them like you hear on his radio program.

FAIL

2. "Glenn Beck claims science czar John Holdren proposed forced abortions and putting sterilants in the drinking water to control population"

This was from July 22nd show, and on previous shows laid the facts out exactly. Those facts were, that John Holdren said that crap in a book he co-authored. There was no lie here, no matter what those liberal boobs at Politifact say. For the purpose of keeping this reply short, I'm not going to post the excerpts from the book. All you have to do is read them for yourself at Politifact.

FAIL

3. "Beck says less than 10 percent of Obama Cabinet has worked in private sector"

If you skip down to the last paragraph of the article, You'll see it says:

"We'll acknowledge that rating someone's degree of private-sector experience is an inexact science, and it's true that Beck accurately relayed the information contained in Cembalest's chart."

So Beck didn't make that up... It was information published in a study by the chief investment officer for J.P. Morgan, Michael Cembalest.

FAIL

4. "Glenn Beck claims health care bill includes insurance for dogs"

That is called "sarcasm"... Ever hear of it? He was joking around on his radio show about the fact that the proposed health care bill includes veterinarians in it. Do you liberals even know what a sense of humor is?

He discussed exactly what the actual bill said on his Fox News show, and even joked about it there too. Like I said before, Glenn Beck's radio show is much different from his show on Fox News. On his radio show, he exaggerates wildly for comical purposes, while on his TV show, he lays out the actual facts first, then may joke about them later.

FAIL

If you actually watched his show, rather than relying on sound bites, you would know just how ridiculous the accusations from Politifact and Media Matters actually are. But as I have learned, liberals have no interest what so ever in the truth. All they care about is trying to destroy anyone who doesn't embrace their political views, as you have just demonstrated.

This does not make the statement [Van Jones] "is an avowed, self-avowed radical revolutionary communist." true.

Was =/= is. The truth value of the statement remains false.

the basic logic escapes you

Fail

He never proposed them as a viable solution, the politifact article speaks for itself, not our problem you cannot follow the logic, or the logical conclusion.

The truth value of the statement remains false

again, the basic logic escapes you,

Fail

"We'll acknowledge that rating someone's degree of private-sector experience is an inexact science, and it's true that Beck accurately relayed the information contained in Cembalest's chart."

Where he got the misleading info from, and whether or not he accurate relayed this info does nothing to change the truth value of "less than 10 percent of Obama Cabinet has worked in private sector"

This is still a false statement, again the basic logic escapes you

Fail

obviously not everyone picked up on the "scarcasm"

Regardless this does not change the truth value of

"Do you know in the health care bill, we're now offering insurance for dogs," Beck said. "Do I need to say any more?"

it is still a false statement, again the basic logic escapes you

Fail.

All I can say is...

Liberal is, as Liberal does.

Carry on... lolololololololol

You mean logical?

You do not have to be liberal to benefit from knowing how logic works.

No, but you have to be a liberal to understand how "liberal" logic works...

A man writes a book suggesting forced sterilization to control population, but you say he isn't suggesting it, and Beck's a liar.

A man is quoted saying he became a radical and a communist, has never disavowed those beliefs, yet you say Beck calling him one makes him a liar.

A man does a study that beck uses on his show, that some believe is incorrect, but Beck is the liar because he quotes from it.

The health care bill includes veterinarians, and because Beck jokes about it on his radio show, he's a liar, even though he accurately described that portion of the bill previously to his audience.

You people need to make honesty and reality a higher priority than your politics and hatred.

And you started off in this thread so well, Grim. Now you are just degenerating into overgeneralized partisan hackery. Don't ever forget that every generalization you throw out at liberals is just as pertinent to conservatives.

Believe me, I am very aware of my over generalization of liberals, and on occasion, I will qualify my words by explaining that I don't now, nor have I ever, believed all liberals to be as I sometimes describe them. I just gave up singling out individuals a long time ago. If you understand this up front, it shouldn't offend you, or those whom I'm not directly responding to.

Those on the left that choose to disqualify everything I post based on how I sometimes label liberals, are nothing more to me than cowards looking for an easy way out of addressing difficult topics.

Ok... Do me a favor and ignore the first and last sentence, and post your thoughts on what I wrote.

You do understand that presenting things in the way that you do makes you look exactly like those that you rail against. I haven't debated you often, but I have found you to be reasonable when I have. However, when you go after others in the way that you do, it affects the perception of what you are saying. Remember something... and I've been saying this at DP for years: Presentation is EVERYTHING. Take that feedback as you will.

And consider this; how did the first and last sentences of your post assist your argument? They didn't.

It assisted me in venting how I felt about that anal, word-parsing attack on Glenn Beck.

I will ignore your false generalizations, the words placed in my mouth, the strawmen, the hypocritical statement, the irony (you really are KING OF IRONY) and basically this entire post, and address one issue

none of this has any relevancy on the truth value of Glenn Becks statements as factchecked. The truth value of those statements are still FALSE

Unfortunately for your position, the deductive reasoning, and the logic used to determine the truth value of the statements is irrefutable.

I double checked it with "conservative" logic, the rules are the same rules "liberal" logic uses, and fortunately I am adept at both types.

I can understand that. Use the Basement for something like that. It's more appropriate and the presentation of how you debate will not suffer at all.

What's so funny is, not only are those so called "falsehoods" not false, even that far left brainchild of the St. Petersburg Times that calls itself a legitimate fact checking website, called one of them true... lolololol

Living in sound-bite heaven doesn't make your arguments true, they just make you and the other hate mongers on the left look all the more pathetic and sad.

Like I said, it's always politics and hatred first with you people.

Oh my god. If there was such a thing as an irony meter, that statement would have broken it.
