Yes, I bet Le Pen would be very good at bringing back the bad old days of Vichy France, "eradicating" a bunch of innocent people while the real bad actors slip under the radar just fine.
Macron is a renouncement of the idea that "we must do something radical, this is something radical, let's do this" ideal which is so popular among some people.
Maybe we should think about why the intended victim was Macron and not Le Pen. Extremists on both sides love each other.
LOL! No, you're mistakening that for my laughing at your nonsense. What you're saying is bunk.
Oh quit your dishonest spinning, willya? Nothing in what was written excuses anything . Nor does anybody, as you implied. That wasn't said either.
Then how come that France's number of deaths to Islamic terrorism isn't higher? Seeing that the US has had 123 deaths of same cause since (and obviously not counting) 9/11 and France has had 246? That's "only" (note punctuation) double. Why not 7.5 times that?
And why doesn't Germany, with more than half the Muslims that France has, have at least half of the French casualties (in fact it has under 30).
I dunno about Turks in the Netherlands but in Germany they (Turkish Kurds included) dominate the Islamist scene. Certainly since 2006 before which it used to be Iraqi Kurds and, of course, Palestinians. No dispute on any of that.I wouldn't put it down to colonialism either, certainly not exclusively. Nevertheless the special history of France and the Maghreb has already found address and quite pertinently so. As has post colonial policy and what it has brought things to in France. Yeah, and no fascists running the cops either (far as I know). This ain't about Korea, try to stay focussed, eh?
One more opinion with 0 to back it up. What's new?
It's completely backed up by this thing we call 'reality'.
It's nothing you'd understand.
And Macron was richly rewarded for his tolerant stance, by a Muslim terrorist who was planning on attacking the airbase where Macron's plane is located.
He'll be lucky to survive his term in office, the way things are going.
Vague, just another excuse of yours to make a derogatory crack. It is what you do.
Yes, terrorists conduct terrorist attacks---or try to, anyway. It's what makes them terrorists. But the attack was stopped. And, unlike Le Pen's Vichy wannabes, Macron isn't feeding ISIS propaganda.
I still see nothing in the exchange we're referring to here that would support your assessment, especially when it comes to the last sentence (bolded by me).You have to be aware, I'd hope, that people like Moot do exist in Europe and the US. These people always blame the victims of an attack, even though they themselves (the victim) had nothing whatever to do with colonization, wars in the ME etc. Then these same people, like Moot, turn around and tell everyone to not judge all Muslims by what a few terrorists have done.
They are basically self-loathing against the country they're from.
The questions I brought up weren't posed in earnest, I was merely demonstrating the pitfalls of attempting false equivalences (as you did) by making some of my own. :2razz:Maybe because France has its military guarding the streets, and this show of force has actually worked to disuade attackers?
Idk, nothing is ever perfect, especially when it comes to predicting the actions or results of something as chaotic as terrorism.
Good question, I think that Islamic terrorism is on the rise in Germany, but still several years away from being as big of a threat as it is in France.
Okay, we can all speculate til the proverbial cows come home, so why not you as well?We know that disaffected people from Muslim backgrounds are most likely to become radicalized and attempt acts of terror. As the refugees from 2014-2016 settle in, we should see overall crime, including terrorism, spike in the near future in Germany. That is of course, if the German police decides not to attempt another cover up, like they've done in the past.
Didn't I tell you not to buy SIM cards on the dark net that are labelled "Raqqa"?:mrgreen:My phone decided to turn all this ^ into one one big paragraph. Told you this phone was cursed.

Newp. I was accused of crying 'racism', when I clearly didn't do so.
You should really look into reality. It's a fascinating place.
Tanngrisnir Post Devoid of Reality #7,346.
I hope that one day, some day, reality doesn't frighten you so much.
It WILL get better. Trust me.
All this talk about reality, and you can never debate using any facts culled from reality. You just keep repeating the same meaningless insults.
Your reality is never reality. It's always propaganda being spewed.
That doesn't come remotely close to the million plus murdered by the US/UK/... in the illegal invasions of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, ... .
It's not at all too much to think that those people angry at France see them as supporters of US terrorism.
Yeah, most revealing response.
You don't consider the terrorist being shot a success? What's your point? Spit it out. Do you consider it a success when a terrorist is neutralized after murdering a police officer? I don't.
You don't consider the terrorist being shot a success?
Uh-okay.
I may return to this later. No, not when he was on law enforcement's radar for many months, and no action could be taken to prevent him from taking a police officer's life.
Did you consider it a success when Anis Amri was killed? German officials tried to deport him for 7 months prior to his attack, and were hamstrung by their own inept bureaucracy. As a result, 12 people died.
