Fox News even punking Trump regarding his lies about immigrants eating people's dogs and cats. Right to his face.

This is so beautiful.

Trump repeats whatever he's been told. Or whatever he "hears". Little or no fact-checking.

He believes this makes him not responsible for the accuracy of what he says.

Yep, our President's saying whatever pops into his head - lying his obese ass off - is just the thing we need, to keep this country great....

"I have no idea, they said something..."
Look, you have to ignore the virtue-signallers. The both-sidesers. You know them. They're "oh, I'm a liberal, I'm a moderate, and that gives me cred...". This guy is absolute scum. That is reality. He must be stopped. Only once him and MAGA is stopped can we get back to how do we fix it. Just like only once Hamas/etc is stopped, can we get back to ok, how do we fix it?

Dude's up there spouting dangerous bullshit, and his excuse is a claim - a lie no doubt - that he heard people saying something. He saw some tweets. That's the would-be second term President of the United States....."I saw someone saying shit online"....

You need to begin believing the truth: the people that back him are bad people. They don't care about his insane bullshit because all they care about is the probability that he uses the government to hurt people that they, the backers, don't like. That's it.

I understand not wanting to believe it. I did not want to believe it. I do not want to. But it is true. We must believe this of the MAGA contingent because this is what they are. Maybe we can do Truth and Reconcilliation (at our cost, no doubt) 10-25 years later....but this is who they are now.

He's just a massive liar.

Praise God.

Trump is always a truth teller...

They are SO embarrassed now, but go back to earlier threads about this dog eating story and see how many Righties bought into that belief.
NOW, nada. NOW, they changed the narrative. They are bringing in too many Haitians, Springfield can't handle them all, blah blah blah. Not one has the you-know-what to say "Yeah, I got suckered into believing something that wasn't true."

On Sept 24, at a Springfield City Commission meeting, a Springfield resident stood up in front of a majority of Trump supporters on the panel and said;

"I have lived in Springfield most of my life, I can't believe these Haitian immigrants would come here and fill jobs that local Springfield residents would not or could not do, and now they've raised the average city wage for both Springfield and Clark County. They're paying income tax to the city that the city desperately needs for services. They're making some of the local losers look bad by their example. The Haitian immigrants who are working overtime to save up money to buy up all the dilapidated condemned and boarded up homes in Springfield, then fixing up those homes to make them livable again. This is raising property values across the city and county to the point where the valuation of all real estate in the city surpassed $1 billion dollars last year for the first time ever. These homes are no longer boarded up nuisances. They're helping to fund our government and beautify our neighborhoods. These Haitian immigrants are now spending money in our community too, where new restaurants and retail spaces keep opening up across the city. Now we have new businesses in town, creating more tax revenue for our city and country.

I have a good paying job with great benefits, but because I have 'main character syndrome', and the entire world should revolve around me, I want the exorbitant benefits these Haitians get, which is $292 for SNAP, aka food stamps, and $363 in cash, per month for a single adult, everyone knows that $655 per month lets you live like a millionaire in Springfield. I don't need it, but I want it before anyone else. Because, why should we help folks who have legally come to our country, but have to wait for their work permit so they don't starve? This is lunacy."

I suppose this refers to the practice of voodoo.

Of course, not all Haitians practce voodoo. many are also Christians.

Here is what I found, posted in 2011 - way before TRUMP mania.

In Voodoo, food is one of the many offerings ceremoniously given to the Lwa (Spirits) and is usually shared afterward as a communal meal.

In a meat-eating society, animals are food. In small-scale cultures, people slaughter animals at home rather than buying meat at the grocery store.
Animal sacrifice is not about a morbid fascination with death of an animal; it is the offering of life-giving energy in the preparation of sacred food.

Some Voodooists in the U.S., including my community in New Orleans, don't consider animal sacrifice culturally appropriate and do not practice it, preferring to offer store-bought food to Lwa and community.
But to other Voodoo communities, animal sacrifice is natural and integral to their tradition. They take animal life with reverence, cook the meat and eat it.

I'm just thinking..........

Is it far-fetch to think that a migrant voodoo practitioner, with limited resources, could indeed grab a loose pet?

For all its critics though, the traditional practice of Vodou still thrives in Haiti.

Vodou is more than just philosophy — it is practice. It is hands-on, and it is dirty.
The bones of the dead, the earthly remains of ancestors, take on a very special significance in the Vodou faith, and so it should come as no wonder that the necropolis at the center of the capital serves as Vodou ground zero.

On the subject of sacrifice, it is not only animals that are offered up to the loa in modern-day ritual. At Léogâne — a town right at the epicenter of the 2010 earthquake — there stands a remote orphanage run by Christian missionaries.
Many of the children here were born with deformities, and some still bear the scars of Vodou ritual.

According to traditional Vodou beliefs, children brought into the world with birth defects are thusly marked out as daemonic vessels, and to protect the community, such children must be offered up as sacrifice to the loa.

One boy at the orphanage, a quadriplegic, was smuggled out of his mountain village and carried to safety here, after his mother had handed him over to the local Vodou priests.

Another child, a girl, has thick, angry scars across her neck; she was rescued after her throat was slashed in ritual, and her body — still alive — thrown out onto a rubbish pile.

Animal Sacrifice A variety of animals might be killed during a Vodou ritual, depending upon the lwa being addressed.
It provides spiritual sustenance for the lwa, while the flesh of the animal is then cooked and eaten by participants.
