How do I get one of those counters next to my avatar? Like the Republican Elephant or Liberal jackass (oops, I mean donkey).
 
Go to your User CP. On the left menu, scroll down to Miscellaneous, and select Group Memberships. Then join whichever group you'd like. :2wave:

Gavels are default and will automatically display at 150 posts.

Do not select anything under:

USER CP > GROUP MEMBERSHIPS > (very bottom) You may choose to be identified....
