Forget bulletproof glass: Trump has a mini brick wall built around him during remarks in hurricane-devastated Georgia

Trump and his Republican allies visited the city to highlight the damage caused by Hurricane Helene that hit the area as a Category 4 storm.

The former president viewed the damage at the Chez What furniture store, a brick building that was crushed by the storm, scattering bricks all over the ground.

The bricks from the building were used to build a barrier around Trump's podium, a small structure about three to four feet high.

Trump and his political allies spoke about the storm from behind the wall.

'Valdosta has been ravaged the town is very badly hurting and many thousands are without power, they are running low on food and fuel,' Trump said.

The images of Trump fueled a reaction on social media, as some viewed it as funny and others reacting with disgust.

'Lmao someone BUILT A WALL around trump in Valdosta from the broken brick building,' one social media user wrote.

Others were angered that someone wasted time to construct the wall so that Trump could do a 'photo op.'

'Build that wall! Build that wall! Build that wall!' There you go, you got your wall even if it took the manpower resources away from flood victims.

That is something that a child would do. Oh wait.

And why is he standing behind them as they pray? Shouldn't he be praying too? He's terrified of being shot.

Wow, that might stop a dwarf.

Politicians need to be put behind bullet proof glass when they speak as a mandatory Secret Service thing. There are too many armed nutters, and enough is enough.

I wonder if Trump found any babies to kiss while he was there?

Weird.

That looks so bad it’s ridiculous.
Moroccan ruins from the 1400’s look more stable… at least they’re pretty and a good historical tour.

This is what the country is in for if he wins again…
He won’t pay those contractors for his wobbly wall- taxpayers will.

How anyone sees him as a President of the United States just baffles me

Watch as Trump tells a reporter that the Federal government is not responsive to the storm in Georgia. Trump claims that Brian Kemp was having a hard time getting Joe Biden on the phone.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp tells reporters that Joe Biden called him before the hurricane hit Georgia, and Joe Biden asked him, "what do you need?" President Biden offered disaster relief to Georgia even before the storm hit.

I don't get why they built that wall....
🤔
I thought the same thing, what other reason other than to represent either a stage, or a suggestion to his base not to forget he promised to build the wall. He's creepy horrible.

At least at the border it makes more sense, here not so much.

Will or did? I can see them having no problem paying for the wall at this photo-op.

True. It does seem to have the construction standard of a few spare bricks, about an hour to stack them like that, and perhaps a few beers along the way.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Anyone with eyes and ears can see that Trump is not mentally fit to work in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building across the street from the White House, even as the doorman.

I saw this video, posted 8 days ago. Sure, I've seen many videos over the past years of Trump rally-goers and their blind loyalty for Trump. But this recent one surprised me a bit as to how lethally loyal these cult members are. How can we ever hope to be a united country again with people like these?
