Ford Bronco Concept Car

I worked in service at a Ford dealer in the early 1990s. The full size Bronco had a too short wheelbase, (measured from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel.) Most techs had a low opinion of the Broncos full or II model. The Bronco II was the precursor to the Explorer. The example in post#3 is visually appealing.

Not bad looking, but could do without the silver(vinyl?) seats. Plop down on one of those after sitting on a nice sunny day.

Dad has a restored 77 Scout. Flake blue with a white top. I want it.

If this guy goes into production it certainly will be added to my possiblility list. I grew up in the 50s and 60s with lots of family owning 4WD vehicles. Jeeps and International Scouts in those days.

This does not look like a vehicle with much torsional rigidity, particularly given the use cases it targets. Squeaks-and-Rattles Central, I suspect.

Both Broncos and Blazers of that era were very popular and absolute crap. Shall we begin with the transmissions?

Maybe they are floating a trial balloon. Like someone else said though. If this hit production it likely would eat into their current Bronco buyer pool. I like the look of the concept.

Don't Fords require Fixing Or Repairing Daily?
