On February 28th, the Royal Caribbean cruise ship, “Brilliance of the Seas”, rescued 11 Cuban rafters adrift in the Yucatán Channel. The migrants, at risk of drowning, received medical assistance, water, and food before being transported to Cozumel, Mexico.

On Wednesday, the crew of Brilliance of the Seas, operated by Royal Caribbean and chartered by VACAYA, a vacation company for the LGBTIQ+ community, spotted a distressed vessel near the Yucatán Peninsula. Acting swiftly, the crew launched a pilot boat to rescue the Cuban immigrants in small groups and brought them on board. The migrants, who were exhausted and showing signs of malnutrition, had been stranded at sea for at least one or two days. At the moment of rescue, their fragile boat was damaged and taking on water.

14ymedio, Havana, April 16, 2024 — The United States Border Patrol recorded the arrival in Florida of 47 Cuban rafters between April 4 and 15. On Monday, the Coast Guard intercepted 19 migrants from the Island and handed them over for their deportation process, according to social networks.

The US authorities told the rafters that they would be returned to their country of origin. Similarly, they “they will not be able to enter the United States for a period of five years, in addition to not being eligible to apply for asylum.”

The raft was detected in an overflight by the authorities who patrol by air to “deter” migration. Last March, the Republican governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, ordered the deployment of 250 police officers and soldiers to the Florida Keys to arrest the rafters, mainly Haitians fleeing the violence.

Nothing has change, the rafters that arrive in Florida and are detected, very few are able to escape, are send back to the island according to a bilateral accord between U.S. and the Cuba regime. They are between a rock and a hard place, no matter what they do the outcome is the same.

The conditions are so bad in Cuba that Cubans try to escape to other countries, in this case Jamaica, in this case in a e rustic paddle boat. Like in previous cases, they will be repatriated back to Cuba. There is no escape from hell, the island of Dr. Castro

14ymedio, Havana, June 13, 2025 — Since last Tuesday, a group of 20 Cuban balseros have been in custody in the Bahamas and are awaiting deportation. The migrants, in their attempt to reach the United States, were stranded on the uninhabited island of Cayo Anguilla and rescued by the crew of the US Coast Guard ship Margaret Norvell.

According to a statement, agents of the National Security Investigations in Miami were informed of the situation and sent a US HC-144 Ocean Sentry turboprop aircraft, which “dropped food, water and a radio for communications.”

According to Univision journalist Javier Díaz, “several women and children” are among the Cubans. The deportation process in the Bahamas, he said, can take months. “Previously other migrants have been imprisoned in the country for more than six months,” so he recommended that family members “be patient with this return.”

Unfortunately the death toll of Cuban balseros keep growing. The ones caught attempting to reach the U.S,, are deported back to Cuba. They are between a rock and a hard place. The deportation process in Bahamas of this group of Cuban balseros takes about six months, at least they can enjoy that time in freedom before been returned to the island of Dr. Castro.

The U.S. Coast Guard reported Thursday that its vessel Robert Yered detained six Cuban citizens as they attempted to cross into the U.S. by sea, in an operation carried out in Bahamian waters. Following the interdiction, the migrants were handed over to Bahamian authorities for processing, in accordance with international conventions and current immigration regulations.

These actions are part of a broader strategy deployed in the Florida Straits and the Caribbean to deter irregular travel in rickety vessels. The U.S. Coast Guard continues to intensify its operations in the Caribbean and the Florida Straits to curb irregular migration from Cuba, following two recent interdictions of Cuban rafter groups in Bahamian waters.

Images shared by the Coast Guard show the rafters aboard the U.S. patrol boat, receiving water and basic care before their transfer. According to authorities, these types of precarious vessels pose a high risk to human life due to their instability and lack of safety equipment.
Cuban rafters attempting to reach the U.S., as a consequence of the economic and social crisis facing the island, has decreased significantly, influenced by the crisis in Cuba and Trump’s policies. The sea route to the U.S. have become increasingly inaccessible.

Due to the economic and social crisis created by the Castroist communist regime, there are still people who leave the island on home maid rafts, risking a dangerous journey to reach the U.S. The rafters flow from Cuba, in the fiscal year 2025, shows a significant reduction.

Again the backdrop of the Castros tyranny “reforms” greeted by the mainstream media, Cubans continue to risk their lives to escape from workers paradise. Five more victims of the Castro brothers, the cause of this tragedy.
What does "greeted by the mainstream media" mean? And the Castro brothers are dead.
