lmfao, life expectancy, infant mortality rates, etc have advanced far slower in Cuba after the revolution than most other Latin American countries.
Regardless of speed the fact is Cuban's live longer than the Latin American average, they even live longer than folks in Washington DC, not bad for an apparently evil communist entity.
We also should not focus too much on healthcare as that is to diminish the other success' of the revolution. The scientific breakthroughs, the education system, the end of illiteracy, the cradle to grave security, the development of the new man, the refinement of Marxist thought, It's battle and subsequent victory against apartheid, the establishment of national sovereignty, it's retention at Playa Giron and the inspiration it provides for all liberation movements worldwide, all of these must be remembered and all men of goodness must never allow others too forget.
Except that they manipulate statistics, so this point is invalid.
This is a mix of meatless rhetoric and plain old lies.
OK, I did a little research and now I know who the ProstateWarrior was. He was the legendary medicine man of the Sioux Nation, Chief Longfinger. He was with Sitting Bull at Little Bighorn."Attack" in the sense of adopt an adversarial stance and issue posts to that effect, not launch specifically personal attacks.
What's sad is that your other lines in this thread were actually funnier than this.
That is quite the accusation and one you cannot prove.

Such as, sex tourism, making Castro one of Forbes' richest men in the world, rampant poverty, lack of civil liberties, medical tourism etc etc et al.
Such as?
Literacy was already one of the highest in Latin America BEFORE the revolution.
The National Literacy Campaign of 1961, recognized as one of the most successful initiatives of its kind, mobilized teachers, workers, and secondary school students to teach more than 700,000 persons how to read. This campaign reduced the illiteracy rate from 23% to 4% in the space of one year.
I have an aunt who sometimes goes there- no, not to the dressed-up touristy areas, but to the real, poverty-stricken island. She actually met a woman whose daughter died from a lack of medical care, but was not included in the statistics because that would make the Castro brothers look bad, and we can't have that now can we.

They had gone there planning to offer Chief Longfinger's services to Custer and his troops, but Custer, typical of the US military's shoot first, ask questions later tedencies, started firing.
Chief Longfinger, Chief Sitting Bull, and their traveling party were forced to defend themselves. That's the real story of Custer's Last Stand.
David Letterman? What brought him up? Is David Letterman a decendent of Chief Longfinger? Wow, that is interesting. Thx for letting me know. Do you have a link to something documenting this? I would be very interested in reading it. :2wave:Yeah, it's getting worse there, sparky. David Letterman detailing the entire Washington legislature's adulterous improprieties is funnier than this. :2wave:

You must be drunk because you are not making any sense. What racist sentiments and what have I posted that could possibly break the Vegas rule?If this is the caliber of wit you can come up with, it's probably a good thing you stay out of the Basement, even if you're violating the Vegas rule and effectively expressing racist sentiments upstairs. That's probably preferable to the alternative. :rofl
...*facepalm*
I might have a libertarian perspective on the Cuban administration to offer later, but as this thread is going down the drain quickly, why don't you two keep each other company for a while?
It still doesn't negate from the fact that under the dreaded communism Cuba has life expectancy rates comparable with the biggest, richest, most powerful states on the planet.
And that list has long been discredited. They attributed Cuban resources to Fidel, but they were owned by the state, any profits the styate make are reinvested in Cuba. So it's nonsense, and known nonsense at that.
But that is not too deny what I said, regardless of what it was beforehand, the revolutions advancement in literacy is unparalleled.

The rest of what you said is really just slogans and irrelevancies.
Great success? Battista may have been a corrupt dictator, but Cuba's economy and standard of living were the envy of Latin America at the time. Now it's quite poor. Don't blame the embargo. We had quite a few economic ties with them before the Revolution, but we're the only country with an embargo. They've had 50 years to bounce back.
It's a great shame on every freedom-loving person when tyrants like Stalin or Fidel die a natural death, instead of skinned alive and boiled in Tabasco sauce...
:blastem:

It's still the envy of Latin America. That is the reason you cannot get elected in Latin America without declaring friendship with Fidel Castro and indignation with the US.
"Long live the Cuban Revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro... Cuban internationalists have done so much for African independence, freedom, and justice. We admire the sacrifices of the Cuban people in maintaining their independence and sovereignty in the face of a vicious imperialist campaign designed to destroy the advances of the Cuban revolution. We too want to control our destiny... There can be no surrender. It is a case of freedom or death. The Cuban revolution has been a source of inspiration to all freedom-loving people." Nelson Mandela
A) And had that BEFORE the revolution.
B) And is LOWER than Costa Rico when they started out even.
So then you don't disagree with the sex and medical tourism? FYI in Cuba Castro is the state.
Provide one peer reviewed paper on the planet corroborating these medical breakthroughs and granting them to Cuba.
No again like life expectancy was already one of the highest in all of Latin America and its progression happened much more slowly than the rest of Latin America after the revolution.
Ya until you compare Cuba with Costa Rica on the Human Development Index and they, also have more civil liberties and less natural resources.
