It seems Democrats believe we have just the right number of deaths from drugs pouring across the border.

The right number of murders.

The right number of rapes.

The right amount of violent gangs.

The right number of illegal invaders sticking it to the poorest Americans.

This says nothing about the horrors going on for those risking their lives making the dangerous journey with dangerous criminals.

Well done Democrats. Well done.

And how exactly would you stop this? It came across at a border checkpoint like most drugs, both times. Do you think they were trying to cross the border illegally with a cucumber truck?

Instead of trying to point the finger at someone, Democrats, we need to question why so many drugs are being allowed through legal ports of entry. Per your article:

You blame the Democrats but this is data from 2018, did the Democrats have an overwhelming majority and still allow this to happen? You have to be delusional to think it's only one side that holds the blame.

Why, when I do a quick google search on Republicans and ports of entry security, I get a hit about Republicans blocking it:

Once Again, Republicans Back Out of Real Port Security | Congressman Jerrold Nadler

Republicans' Failures in Securing Ports: Failres go Beyond Dubai Ports World - Public Statements - The Voter's Self Defense System - Vote Smart

Sure this is awhile ago but perhaps if we had invested in port entry security years ago we might not be where we are - and both parties are to blame.

The Wall would free up more manpower for inspections.

Not all drugs come across border crossings.

Why do Republicans support increasing drug deaths and gang murders?

Not all drugs come across border crossings.

Or you could just save money and just hire more inspectors and even then that will not solve it as there is only so much you can search. The vast majority do because it is by far the easiest and most efficient way to do so. A wall would do nothing to stem the flow of drugs.

If you don’t point the finger at the problem, you’ll likely never solve it.

Democrats should be hit daily with their idiotic failure to secure the border.

Remember Iraq War 2? The death count?

We should have:

The Rape Count due to Illegals.

Drug overdose Count.

Murder count due to illegals.

Billions of taxpayer dollars pissed away on illegals Count.

It takes 60 votes in the Senate... now Trump is solving the problem.

A border wall will not stop, nor even slow fentanyl entering the US. It enters largely through legal border crossings, hidden in vehicles. Democrats have championed and pushed for increased security at ports of entry. So apparently, the problem is with republicans. Nice try, but you fail again.

Well, that’s not what experts claim.

Walls work, everywhere they’re tried.

Walls would free up manpower.

Even Communists, those the Democrat Party is moving ever closer to, the model of incompetency, made their wall work exceptionally well... almost perfectly.

Trump is not solving the problem or can you lay out exactly his plan for increased port of entry security?

He's holding up a shiny object to make people believe he is doing something. He actually contributes to the problem when his companies hiring illegal immigrants. Blame him too.

Have you ever driven across the border at a border crossing? Sometimes you wait in line for an hour in your car just to cross. More manpower for inspections won't do anything but clog the border even longer.

What experts? Trump is hardly that. And no, communists did not make any border wall work "exceptionally well", let alone "almost perfectly".

When has a wall worked? They were always short and guarded by people with lots of guns, it is the people with guns that made the difference. Even then people still got through.

El Chapo disagrees with you, and you know he was the one doing it. Also here are two more sources, USA Today, and the National Post a right-leaning Canadian publication. Most drugs go through legal points of entry and the rest through other means like tunnels because you can fit a lot more into a tractor trailer than someone carrying it through a desert.

Utter thread backfire. Lmao.

Fentanyl: From China to Your Front Door

Where Do Opioids Come From: Cartels, China, or Neighbors

While is often smuggled into the U.S. across the northern and southwestern borders by way of parcels mailed from China to either Canada or Mexico, through the use of dark web Internet drug markets, fentanyl from China can often be mailed directly to the purchaser’s home.

Large-scale shipments of fentanyl are frequently seized at the border to Mexico, but these are generally very low quality and have an average potency of only seven percent, as compared to the much smaller volumes mailed directly to the U.S. from China, which average a staggering 90 percent purity level.

Fentanyl from China can be extremely difficult for law enforcement officials to properly trace back to the source due to the use of long chains of custody where the package is passed between multiple freight forwarders and often incorrectly labeled and manifested to avoid detection. China and other foreign countries will also supply the pill presses needed to create counterfeit fentanyl pills in the U.S., mislabeling the equipment or sending it in disassembled shipments to avoid having to notify the DEA, as is the law with all purchases of a pill press.

Many times in TJ.

Won’t do anything? Oh vey.

The compromise Trump offered had money for beefing up security at the ports of entry and for over 2000 more BP agents. The Democrats rejected it. Drugs also come across border between the ports of entry. If we stop the drugs coming through the POEs where do you think the cartels will smuggle, between the POEs. We need to increase security at the POE's and between the POE's. Also its not just drugs. If you are a criminal like a MS 13 or even a run of the mill rapist , or convicted or wanted criminal in Mexico or Central America where do you flee to and where do you cross. Do you cross at a POE where you will have to be interviewed by a BP agent or do you sneak across the Rio Grande River or across a couple strands of barbed wire in Arizona.

You believe drug smugglers find it easier to smuggle through checkpoints as opposed to simply walking them across an area where there us no one there checking at all? My god, do you people actually believe that drug epidemic in the U.S. is fed primarily through checkpoints?

Yes, see post #14. All the evidence supports that.

Drug dogs and more manpower opening more traffic lanes will speed the traffic up. They let the folks that pass the drug through and inspect those that fail the sniff test after the pull them out of the line. .

How about hiring the 15k extra border guards that Trump already has had money for...for 2 years? They have not even hired 100...

Walls don't stop drug smuggling or people..it slows them down at best.

And where do criminals and human traffickers cross? If your kid OD,s on drugs that cross between the POEs will you feel OK that the other %80-90% of the drugs are coming across the POE's . IF WE crack down harder on the POEs LIKE WE SHOULD where do you think drug smugglers will go?

I'll take slowing them down it gives time for the BP to apprehend smugglers and illegals. Walls also stop vehicles form crossing the border between the POEs. Walls will be backed up with cameras , sensors , drone surveillance and BP agents. There are countries in Europe that have walls/fences to impede illegal immigration.

What's a few million deaths?
With the Trump resistors, the end justifies the means. Stop Trump's agenda.
