Arizona election law violates Voting Rights Act, 9th Circuit says

Republicans get caught again, trying to deny the vote. What scum.

I wonder what the political parties of the various judges were. 4 Dissent, 7 in the majority. I will go look

Why bother. It's become axiomatic in the legal world that ethnic minorities lack the wherewithal to provide for themselves to even the slightest extent and that the reason for that shortcoming is white privilege.

Obviously, any policy that might protect the integrity of elections, is unconscionable to corrupt federal judges.

Obviously, you think that denying the vote to people is a good thing.

Just so long as they are people that are not as white as you.

From the article:

Native American, Hispanic and urban apartment dwellers regularly rely on the mail for such things as paying bills, filing taxes, receiving social security checks, etc. I don't see any suits where that stuff is being excused due to poor mail service. Why are ballots any different? If they get their mail in ballot by mail (which they do) then why can't they be expected to return it in the same manner?

Why pass laws that restrict the amount of voters?

What are you afraid of?

Nothing about prohibiting ballot harvesting restricts voters.

Again, if these poor, unfortunate, disenfranchised souls can receive their ballots via US mail then why can't they be expected to return them using the same method?

It’s here in California. The law is it’s OK to pick up sealed ballots, but in practice, open is preferred. Yet, tne voters hand book I just got has no mention of any way to harvest legally, but it was legal last election and statistically proven to be corrupt.

It’s racist to claim people of color are too stupid to get an ID, especially when you need an ID to scratch your ass.

The Democratic Party has always declared that non-white people, particularly black people, are so terribly dysfunctional being of low intelligence they can not function in democracy or life without white people taking care of them. It still does. It always will.

prove it.

We get it. Your side can't win in a fair election, so you need ballot harvesters to be able to make sure people have voted "correctly".

Your fake moral outrage is tiresome.

Other way around. Your side hates it when minorities vote. There haven't been any instances of any fraud by anyone harvesting ballots in AZ.

More news about AZ and breaking the law:

For years, Arizona may have been violating voter registration law

Do you have ANY facts to back up this claim? My VA 'check' is electronic to my bank. EBT, SS checks are electronic as well. No paper check. Do you still use paper tax returns? I doubt many EZ filers use paper. Again how do you know how someone gets an early ballot?

You are very weak on facts and very strong on opinion...

why am I not surprised...

As often as the rabid right complains about the 9th district court you'd think that would be a pin in it for quick rants...

You'd think someone who spent their life doing the lawyer thing would have the answer to that question before posting.

So what is the political breakdown??? eace

Well, I live in Arizona and I KNOW that mail in ballots get mailed out to the voters. However, since you're very much unlikely to take my word for it, here's how you can request one in Pima Counrt- Pima County Recorder's Office - Ballot by Mail Request

If you would prefer to receive your ballot in Maricopa County you can use this resource - Early Voting Ballot Request

Gila County? - Welcome to Gila County

I could go on but the theme should be sinking in. If you want an early voting ballot they MAIL it to you.

The Confederate mindset is still in control.

From the article:

Yeah, so what?

That shouldn’t excuse you of responsibility for your own ballot. By your standards what kind of voting regulation should their be?

Well I already know the answer, you think there should be none because fraud helps your side, and engineering situations where fraud is unprovable helps you maintain the lie that it’s non existent

You can’t possibly prove fraud in those cases.

Meaning it’s likely rampant

If you can't win the minds of voters, make it harder for them to vote.....

BTW, please show all the instances of vote fraud in my state. They aren't talking about engineering situations, they are talking about following the actual law, which is what AZ failed to do.

Obviously, you think that denying the vote to people is a good thing.

Well I do actually think widespread denial of the vote is a good thing, not by race, but you should have to post a 10K bond with the state for the privilege.

That aside, there is no evidence minority voters who actually want to vote have been disenfranchised by the system. It’s all theoretical crap by activists who probably want to undermine voting security generally.

When elections are close they want the ability to defraud elections, just like WA in 2004

Meaning that you are just making stuff up.:lamo

Whenever voter fraud is shown its of a nature so egregious that it’s likely larger. In Washington non citizens can register to vote with ease, and without access to federal immigration databases no one could prove it. But we know it happens because the crazy turk who went and shot up a mall was registered to vote and had voted (also he was a vocal Hillary Supporter)
