FBI will help track down Texas Democrats who left state, Sen. John Cornyn says​


FBI Director Kash Patel has agreed to aid the search for the Texas Democratic lawmakers who left the state to protest new congressional maps, Sen. John Cornyn said Thursday.

Texas Republicans have been trying to bring the Democrats back so there are enough lawmakers on the floor for a quorum, which would enable them to vote on new congressional maps likely to increase the GOP advantage in the state. Texas requires two-thirds of the House — or 100 of the 150 representatives — to be present for a quorum.

This right here will be the reason Patel serves prison time once the orange child rapist is out of office.

The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.
 
They did cross state lines to engage in a conspiracy to prevent the Texas government from governing.

Hey, it's worth a try! It's worth the effort just to make the arrests. Conviction would be pretty irrelevant, as they'd quit their protest after a night in The Pokey - in Texas.

They left the state to stop the GOP from committing an obvious act of corruption. That being said, the federal government still lacks jurisdiction.

I think this is asking a lot of @verrip1. All he was given were some simple talking points by the media, along with orders to repeat them. I don't believe these talking points come with any supporting information or background reading, because foot soldiers are expected to follow orders, not question them or ask for more information, so unfortunately @verrip1 will be unable to cite any federal code that has been violated. At best, we might get a deflection to the Biden Crime Family or, if we're lucky, something about Hillary.

A court would have to decide whether it is unlawful or not, not a fiat by some message board addicts. By then, the Dems would be back in Texas in a cell and the chips would fall where they may.
 
I'm sure you're right; and the problem for all of us is the sitting president also cannot explain which federal code is in violation here as he orders the FBI to "assist".

When Dems start doing the same, I expect you to remain quiet about it.
Though we all know you will be the very first to gnash your teeth over it.
