Fast-food workers kick off global labor action

But that doesn't mean the value of a fast food worker is higher. It's a low skilled job that anyone can do, and plenty of people are willing to do. If it was a special skill that only a select group could do, or something that not many people are willing to do, it would pay much higher wages.

Don't go "oh please." That's the consequence of your believing they don't "deserve" $15/hour. People like you often put "living wage" in scare quotes, but there isn't an alternative to that. People need to feed and house themselves. To, you know, live.

These higher paying jobs you think they are "supposed" to be getting? Don't exist. You cannot take every minimum wage worker and place them in a $15/hour job. There aren't openings for that. There are millions more unemployed people than there are job openings, are all of those unemployed people just lazy and stupid? And now you want to add to the unemployed group every minimum wage worker who you dictate is supposed to have a better job.

Just enter a higher-paying labor market! It's that easy! If it's so easy, why aren't you a billionaire? Just enter a labor market where your labor is worth that much, digsbe.

The real consequences of your belief is my tax dollars subsidizing McDonald's ****ty wages. Let the market decide, my ass. WalMart is the biggest welfare queen in American history.
