Farage strugg;ing to explain away trump madness

Reform might fix some things. We will find out. The only faint hope for the UK.

Reform won't fix anything. Farage is the main reason why things are broken - Brexit.

Reform can't even competently run the few councils they control.

I dont know was his standby argument

He learned he could use it to good effect when he used to stand outside migrant hotels with his camera crew and ask if it was full of terrorists. "I don't know, I'm just asking questions" got him a lot of support among the National Front style voters.

I feel like the kind of party that would actually fix things doesn’t exist.

Very true - also some things should normally be outside the usual left/right swing of the different parties. Maybe there - national referenda would be the way to get public involvement except that the EU referendum showed that we couldn't discuss facts clearly and cold-headedly.

Maybe because you live in Sweden but you've not seen the few interviews on policy where they repeatedly fall apart under scrutiny. They have no policy apart from kicking migrants out of the UK, and a large portion of their further right-wing voters want to go further and kick anyone the wrong colour out of the UK; no matter how far back their family goes in living here as British citizens.

Your comment at #7 was a good one. Was it the word 'shrewd' that confused you?

The idea that farage has any answers is just madness. He should be shot like a dog. Eating swans indeed.

Trump's press conference was like the ideal display of someone who has no clue about what he's discussing. I still have a hard time believing people voted for him thinking this buffoon is remotely competent. Policy is one thing, and people can differ there, but competency in one's role is hard to hide if they're inept. The man couldn't even pronounce acetaminophen, then he just makes statements and asks others if what he's saying is right.
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
But he knows it shouldn't be used by pregnant women..."tough it out"..

LIke he just got the memo that morning....which I'm sure he did.

Yeah, well.

The reality is that the overwhelming majority of Americans simply don't pay attention to the news. They're either not engaged, or too busy, or have been ground down by years of conservatives eroding norms and trust.

In addition, partisanship is a hell of a drug, and the Chump Cult of Personality exacerbates that even further.
