Look up the definition of insurrection. And, check your history: Trump didn’t attempt to steal the 2020 election, as usual as with the 2016 popular vote and in several other instances, he denied the results of an election that displeased him.
Trump isn’t a king, nor dos he know what fascism is. But he is a dictator wannabe who uses unmistakable fascist-like rhetoric: stated support of torture and war crimes, disregard for court decisions, ignoring a subpoena, Make America Hate Again attacks on Muslims and others, and on and on. Upon taking office, he eliminates bringing to our country any of the many refugees already approved for resettlement in the US, but does bring several White South Africans here. (He couldn’t find a Black South African who was persecuted?)

Honestly, no, that's as deep as it is. Think about every time you've heard it used. Has it ever been anything more than a response to allegations and / or better arguments?

Nah, it's a paper shield for the true believers, and a means for smart people to assess their "competition". It's no different from "woke", "Marxist", "sheep", or "radical". It's a big neon sign that really only says "I'm dumb but I want to be an edge lord anyway".

Another poster called it in this thread, you’re thinking of Trump as a politician. He’s not, at least not to his followers. Think of him as the head of an organized religion, with him having taken the place of Jesus and his Truth Social account replacing the Bible. Now, how often do Christians pontificate about the various flaws of Jesus Christ?

It’s the same thing with Donald.

This is why posters like @anatta are fundamentally incapable of criticizing Trump. He is the diety that their entire religious faith is built around.

We have a difference in opinion when it comes to alleged faults. I did not care for how Trump treated his republican primary opponents in 2016, especially Ted Cruz and I disagree with his most recent suggestion that Israel and Iran come to an agreement before Israel finishes the job in Iran, however otherwise, Trump is just what the doctor ordered. He has faults; however I vote based on stances and follow up.

LBJ was pure evil. FDR did make a mistake that would not likely occur today, however at the time there was a very serious fear and threat of Japanese spies in the lead up to WW2. He did over-react. I personally knew one Japanese American who was interned.
Any truly objective person considers all of the "Trump is Hitler", "Maga is fascist", etc, nonsense as very much over the top. The "Trump Dispersion Syndrome" description is apt for the individuals who show that much hatred. As long as that type of over the top rhetoric is used by the left, the term "TDS" will continue.

LBJ was hardly pure evil. He gave us Medicare/Medicaid and used his skills to get civil rights legislation passed. A paralyzed friend benefits from Medicaid and Medicare has saved me from bankruptcy due to an incurable (but treatable) disease.
I repeat again that anyone who exaggerates about Trump is a fool. All one has to do is quote him or make reference to his record of bigoted statements, crooked deals, birtherism, and far more lies and insults than any other politician. To do more is malpractice in political discussion, here or elsewhere.

I have never not acknowledged that he has faults just like anyone else. I have mentioned more than a few times since the 2016 election that I was not a fan until well into the general campaign around the time of the debate with the hildabeast.

Medicare and Medicaid were not solely a product of LBJ. Congress had a say in Medicare and Medicaid, at least then was primarily a state issue. And there is that LBJ started out as a segregationist and involved the US in the Vietnam War, solely because he wanted a war legacy along the lines of FDR and WW2, On the more repulsive side, he would have the press interview him at the white house while he was sitting on the toilet taking a shit with the door open.

What bigoted statements exactly? And yes, the Trump is Hitler or a Nazi is way over the top. And Biden was known for making racist statements, more in his past, however some of the statments he made about Obama were percieved at racist.

What crooked deal specifically? If you are talking about the University, that was addressed in civil court. How about Biden's crooked deals with Ukraine and China through his sone Hunter? As for birtherism, that started in the Hillary Clinton camp in 2008 and was directed at both Obama and McCain. Trump merely challenged Obama to come up with a certified copy of his actual birth certificate, not the modern certificate of live birth spit out by a computer. He put some wager money behind it and Obama produced it.

Trump paid $25 million because his university was crooked. His foundation was shut down because of self dealing, and he admitted to misuse of funds. $2 million was taken to pay various charities, and I believe he (perhaps his sons) was forbidden from foundation work for some years. And in a hilarious but small matter, Trump bought regular steaks an re-wrapped them as Trump Steaks.
Why do you suppose Trump challenged Obama, our first Black president? Strange, he didn’t challenge Biden’s eligibility.

I did not follow Goldwater all that much. I was a teen when he was running for president. Wallace to his credit softened his stance as result of the great care he received from black nurses and nurses' aids after he was paralyzed from an assassination attempt.

I don't know the stats of how many whites are killed by blacks, and I suspect that you do not either. However, the majority of homicides occur in the inner cities as a result of gang banging activity, usually involving gang territorial disputes or the drug trade.

Who cares? He has as much right to privacy regarding his tax documents as you and I do. He is not a lifetime politician like most of the swamp rats in DC. They had plenty of time to spruce up several years' worth of tax returns for publicity sake. I am actually more concerned with congress critters benefiting from insider trading info. Laws prevent you and I from doing so. Ever wonder why so many congress critters are elected to office as middle class and come out millionaires?
