Hypothetical: A rare and powerful virus is let loose on the world. It's all over the news. Shelves are bare. People are on their knees begging their leaders for guidance. After 3 months of the world struggling to contain it, what percent of the population would you expect to be dead at the 3 month mark?

You don't get exponential growth. The concern now (we are 3 months in) is about number of people that will die in another 3 months IF measures are insufficient.

All but three white guys, 2 hot chicks and a black guy that will ultimately get eaten by zombies.

Kudos on the half pyramid.

And 100% of the cockroach population.

An expert said we could lose a million people in a worse case scenario.

But if it's like the common cold and flu, coronavirus will start to fade away in the warmer months as people start to go outside and spread out.

Shelves are bare because people are stupid.

And come right back again in the fall to spread wide, undetected. Until the following spring.

Then again in the fall if the vaccine isn't ready.

If you believe the math being thrown around. Worldwide this virus should kill between 60M and 120M people.
2B will become infected and 3%-6% will die
