Western Canadian natural gas prices remain depressed, however, due to a persistent supply glut that has not yet been drawn down by fresh demand from LNG Canada's July 1 startup.
The daily spot price at the Alberta Energy Company (AECO) storage hub closed at $0.22 per mmBtu on Tuesday, compared to the U.S. Henry Hub benchmark price of $3.12, according to LSEG data.

Can't really complain when an oil company masquerading as a country has trouble spreading their pollution across the globe.

One might think that Canada would get the hint with their massive wild fires that not only effect their country, but also others fsr away from their oil fields; maybe climate change is real and they ahould cut this shit out.

Every human endeavor encounters problems. It is not really news to me when a new venture has problems. What matters is solving them, not giving up or assuming the problems and trouble are constant and everlasting.

That's a rich insult coming from a country run by climate change deniers.

Is it an insult to make fun of countries that keep pumping more and more oil, and trying to sell it to more and more people, all while their country is experiencing some of the most damaging effects of climate change? And spreading it to their neighbors?

Maybe. But those people need to be reminded how their actions affect others.

This is possibly the one of the worst managed projects my company has been involved in. Western BC has extensive pipelines running into Alberta and then to the US.

But they decided to build the liquefaction plant and terminal in Kitimat and pipe the gas there. Eventually this thing will get running, and the glut will make the initial drawdowns cheap. Plus customers have already been lined up.
