There are a lot of raw feelings this morning, so I say, lets be kind to our fellow citizens, friends, acquaintences, and strangers alike.
I know this is sappy wimpy stuff, but its good morals and good manners.
Personally, I'm glad it's over. The people have spoken. That's the way it's supposed to work. Did they "speak" the way I wanted them to? No, but the United States of America will survive.
That is true, the majority of those who voted, voted obama. I don't really care for the electoral college to represent people because I believe it is a flawed system. I do however care for the popular vote... and Obama made better. If Romney had won the popular vote, then I would take issue with it.
However, one thing I take issue with is the fact only about 100mil people voted.

Americans are wising up.
I don't know how renouncing your electoral right is wising up...
Lets say 200mil people in the USA would be elligible to vote from the 300 mil (the rest being underrage kids or illegals or w/e), if the other 100mil would go out and vote for 3rd party, the whole process would be a whole lot different now.
People keep on saying that voting 3rd party is a waste of a vote. And they are right when 2/3rds of a population are lethargic. I get that under the First Past the Post voting system, 3rd party is about as welcome as kick in the nuts, but if 100 mil people had spoken for 3rd party (doesn't matter which) the political landscape would have received a kick in the nuts... and it would have changed very shortly.
