Europe needs to control gas transit though Ukraine!

I say it is useless to argue alright that Ukraine was pumping out Russian gas meant for European consumers from the transit pipe. Even though Ukrainian authority is doing its best to prove the other.

So, what’s going to change now when the gas crisis is over? Absolutely nothing! Why on earth? There is the very same regime in Ukraine. Sneaking president Yushchenko is still in office, as well as his crime partner Gas-Princess Timoshenko! If we don’t do anything, they will keep pumping out the gas all the same and do the snow job!

What can be done in this respect? We need to establish strict control of gas transit through the territory of Ukraine! It needs to be done the more so, as president Yushchenko and PM Timoshenko are likely to act even boldly as they feel support of Washington! Don’t forget that Yushchenko and ex-secretary of state Rice signed the US-Ukraine Charter on strategic partnership late in 2008! That’s no good for Europe, I bet!

Ukraine has rights over its own territory.

I would hope that Ukraine would allow European monitors, but European or Russian control over the pipeline without Ukrainian consent would be illegal and intolerable.
