It's a bit of a catch-22 but a deceitful one at that. Of course it's the "rich" because they are the only ones paying income taxes, never mind, many of them are not actually rich. The arguement is no tax increases until cuts are agreed upon.
You are avoiding my question - Who specifically said (from the tea party, or Republican party) that public workers should be stripped of benefits and when did they say it? Quote it... when you cannot in your next reply, I'll know it was BS, as I expected.Oxham before you ask silly questions you really should pay attention to whats going on around you...ask christie..walker...rick scott and kasich if they said public workers are overpaid and need to be attacked...
I plan, I save and I am prepared. What you hope is irrelevant. You're opinions based on partisan talking points from union newsletters based on inflammatory rhetoric is not something the tea party is interested in with membership. So I'll restate - no big loss.Personally if someone needs to get caught in a natural disaster and loses everything they have...and have to wait for any relief while the teaparty fondles themselves...I certainly Hope with all sincerity its YOU...

Perry ..natural disasters dont discriminate and give the rich a pass...hurricanes, earthquakes, floods and tornados dont go around all the rich and just nail the middleclass and poor.....the rich loses electric, possibly loved ones...their homes and everything in it just like everyone else...disaster relief is NOT CLASS WARFARE...disaster relief is for EVERYONE who gets caught in GUESS WHAT a natural disaster ....how incredibly STUPID for cantor to grasp on that point to take issue with...and know what Id bet im not in the minority on this one..
Actually im not avoiding your question now...im avoiding you....have a nice day...
In the end this will not make cantor and the teaparty any new friends
My statement had nothing to do with disaster relief. It was about the spin on the situation with raising taxes.
Seems to happen a lot on these pages when one is asked something they would rather not address.
Actually im not avoiding your question now...im avoiding you....have a nice day...
It'll be very popular in Cantor's district....until there's a natural disaster there. Then they'll be looking for the "scary big government" to swoop in and help.
That's part of the problem. Too many believing that it's up to the government to provide for them anytime things aren't going the way they expect it to.
Exactly... thanks for affirming my expectation. :2wave:
No thats not the case at all...its the individual I dont care to address
I hope you all keep carping for cantor though...no disaster relief till we figure out how to pay for it.....keep that mantra up please...I cant believe any of you are trying to defend that statement
Your quite welcome sirdig into your memory and you will remember why no more to be said cheers
It's called dependency. When people do not plan for disaster and they expect others to pick up the pieces for them. Disaster happens to all of us at some point - better to take on that eventuality instead of expecting others to do it for us.
My memory is exactly why I asked you to back it up, and why you cannot, proving your statement simple rhetoric.
:coffeepap:
Im like Oreilly...you can have the last word...just so I dont have to converse with you anymore..YOU WIN
Your conservative Governor, Chris Christie, praised FEMA, what's up with that? It's called dependency. When people do not plan for disaster and they expect others to pick up the pieces for them. Disaster happens to all of us at some point - better to take on that eventuality instead of expecting others to do it for us.
Just because we believe the rich should pay more, doesn't mean we approve of wasteful spending. We can cut from military and other areas, legalize & tax Marijuana, bring jobs back and hit the rich with higher taxes. They're begging us to tax them. We should do it.. it certainly wont HURT America now will it? We can save many social programs and help our fellow Americans in need.
"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." Matthew 25:41-46
The United States is the richest and greatest nation on the face of the earth, I find it sad indeed that there are some people who are unwilling to help citizens in need. My bet is that many of you folks would borrow money to help your family in a time of need. Sad indeed.
