Epstein Poll - Aug 1st, 2025 - Do You Think Trump is Trying to Cover Something Up?

It's been a few weeks since the DOJ and FBI officially declare no "client list" exists and let it be known that there would be no further document releases.

On July 8th I posted the following poll:

"Do you believe Epstein had no "client list," and died by suicide?"

"Yes" got 3 votes

And "No" got 56 votes

Since then the following has happened (in no particular order):
  • WSJ reported that Trump signed a "bawdy" 2003 birthday note to Epstein, concluding: "May every day be another wonderful secret."
  • Trump sued WSJ and Trump's legal team requests an expedited deposition of Rupert Murdoch.
  • The DOJ abruptly fired prosecutor Maurene Comey, who led Maxwell/Epstein case prosecutions.
  • A federal judge in Florida denied the DOJ’s disingenuous motion to unseal Epstein‐era grand jury transcripts.
  • House Oversight voted to subpoena DOJ Epstein files.
  • The WSJ reported Pam Bondi privately told Trump in May his name appears in the files.
  • Bloomberg reported that an FBI FOIA team redacted Trump’s name (and other public figures) from Epstein records.
  • Trump publicly complained that Epstein "stole" Mar‑a‑Lago spa staff, and specifically references Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's victims.
  • Trump's former defense attorney, now Deputy AG Todd Blanche, met privately with Ghislaine Maxwell over two days and offered limited immunity to encourage her cooperation.
  • Trump declared he's "allowed" to pardon Maxwell.
  • Ghislaine Maxwell was quietly transferred from Tallahassee to a minimum‑security federal camp in Texas. To do so someone in the government had to waive her status as a sex offender.
Since the first poll was conducted on July 8th, how has your position changed? Do you still have some suspicion that something is not right, or that Trump or members of his administration may even be trying to cover something up? For example, do you still believe Epstein had no "client list," and died by suicide?

What do you think about the Epstein stuff now?

If I forgot anything from the list above, respond to the thread letting everyone know.

What could he possibly be trying to cover up that the Biden administration wouldn't have tripped over its own dick to publish in the NYT?

Trump sexual activity with under age girls.

You think that the Biden administration wouldn't have made that public? That's cute. Like, brain damaged puppy cute.

I don’t. Remember, garland had to basically be forced into doing his job by the J6 committee.

ad hom

If a solicitation case or a pedophilia case against Trump wasn't a slam dunk, there is no way that the DOJ would press charges. Doesn't mean there was zero evidence.

I voted other. I don't know. But I would think not I mean look at the stuff they threw it from if they had anything on him would bite was at office they had access to this they would have used it. They literally tried to prosecute him for being the executive.

How do you explain Trump’s behavior now?

Recall all the cases Trump was involved in during Biden’s term. He was being prosecuted for a bunch of different things. Assuming something incriminating was in the files maybe it was thought that it just wasn’t necessary or worth it to reveal it. Releasing info related to Epstein would come with its own set of risks.

But whatever theory you can concoct about the Biden admin, it doesn’t explain Trump’s behavior now.

It seems to me, if nothing in the files then Trump wouldn’t be acting the way he’s acting. He is doing a lot of things that look suspicious. How do you explain all that? You can’t.

How do you explain Trump’s behavior now?

There is probably stuff there that would be personally embarrassing to Mr Trump (which explains why his political opponents are so eager to see).

But criminally? Nah. No reason to think the Biden Admin would have sat on that either themselves, or not sent the info to local relevant authorities.

Never, ever forget that tons of people in these types of buildings still support a pedophile who was best buds with a notorious pedophile and is preparing to pardon the groomer for the pedophile.

They must not have families.

Other
It's a yes and no answer.

No- Trump isn't trying to cover his association with Epstein from WAYYYYY back. 2 rich guys in a rich group of rich people. Odds are they're going to be seen together
Yes- Trump MAY BE trying to cover for other people, realizing the chaos that would be unleashed when names of people from both sides of the isle show up on a supposed list.

As I've discussed in other Epstein thread: I highly doubt Dead Ep kept a physical list. The number of people who could afford to do what he pimped out AND keep their fat gobs shut would be very small. I would say 10 or less.

If this article is correct, it seems only those on Capital Hill and political junkies are worried about the Epstein files. The rest of the general public, not so much. To them the Epstein files is more of a nuisance than a big deal with many feeling the Epstein files are taking congress away from concentrating on the important issues that affect all Americans.

Epstein files controversy consuming Capitol Hill has fueled less fire at first lawmaker town halls of summer recess

https://www.cnn.com/2025/08/02/politics/congress-town-halls-epstein-democrats-republicans

If the Epstein files has generated little interest among the general public, the republicans trying to associate and tie Obama to the Russian Hoax back in 2016 is generating none outside of avid, MAGA, Trumpers.

only Democrats were involved in Epstein's horrors
only Republican's were involved in Epstein's horrors
both were involved in Epstein's horrors
neither were involved

What do you think the truth is? understand, the powerful people in this country stand behind each other and protect - its happened over and over with Harvey Weinstein to Diddy to Epstein. We know Trump flew on the planes before Epstein even bought the island (and with his family too)

I think what everyone should agree on is Biden administration had 4 years to do something ....... and they did nothing

Why ? Democrats will stop at nothing to get rid of Trump ... if there was anything Trump/Epstein connected they'd have found and used it in Biden's 4 years of control

1. The Biden DOJ, in its DC prosecution, had to stretch the law to cover the facts. To suggest now that they would not have applied the facts to the actual law is silly.

Moreover, they had no problem cooperating with other jurisdictions, sometimes at great peril to themselves (ie the Jan 6 committee), to 'get Trump.'

Evidence of solicitation by Trump?? They would have run with it.

2. Maxwell would have had all that information, either from personal knowledge, or through discovery.
Trump was simply not a factor.

Nor was he a factor in Ms. Giuferre civil lawsuit.

All there is some rather embarrassing stuff about him that progressives can use to try their 'born again Christian' shtick on his supporters.

There is a difference between having evidence and having a case. You know that.
2. Maxwell would have had all that information, either from personal knowledge, or through discovery.
Trump was simply not a factor.
Again, bits of evidence do not make a case.

And again. Just because Guiffre didn't sue Trump doesn't mean Trump didn't abuse her or other girls.

Biden administration didn't release the file because, for a variety of legitimate reasons, the DoJ doesnt release files of criminal investigations.

Trump is only in hot water for not releasing it because he promised to release it.
