EPA To Roll Back “Climate Change”

Look at the heat advisory at the bottom right of the screen.

The Trump administration said on Tuesday it will rescind the long-standing finding that greenhouse gas emissions endanger human health, removing the legal foundation for all U.S. greenhouse gas regulations.

If finalized, the repeal would end current limits on greenhouse gas pollution from vehicle tailpipes, power plant smokestacks and other sources, and hamper future U.S. efforts to combat global warming.

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin announced the agency's plan to rescind the "endangerment finding" at an event at a car dealership in Indiana, alongside Energy Secretary Chris Wright, and called it the largest deregulatory action in U.S. history....

Republican President Donald Trump has cast doubt on climate change, even as a consensus of scientists warns that global temperature rise driven by human activity is triggering more frequent devastating storms, wildfires, and floods....

The move is expected to trigger legal challenges, according to several environmental groups, states and lawyers....

Well, I cooled my part of the Continent, so I'm way ahead of all your carbon credits.

Cloud cover and cooling rain, evaporating as it falls, evaporating from the ground, making less water in the air, making more evaporation over the oceans, more cooling, more cloud cover.

All with my garden hose.

It was a miserable cold spring, and I could have had it hot and sunny, for spring and burn down the UP like Maui.

Good thing I'm a benevolent mutant, but who will pay homage, tribute or give me their ear?

Has King Canute trump declared that global warming isn't happening?
Already did. Claimed it's a Chinese hoax to cripple American industry.
"Back on Nov. 6, 2012, Trump did indeed post this: “The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.”
Course, he might have TACOed on that several times since.

Climate is global. How can the EPA regulate global climate? And what's the point of regulating your own country when you have no authority to tell other countries what to do? The whole idea was arrogant and stupid from the start. The liberals wasted hundreds of billions on this with no tangible results.

You know it's possible to observe the weather without going full HOW DARE YOU!, right?

By moving production to China and India where they are so, so much more environmentally conscious!

Yes, and it does deserve it's own thread.

Here is the video posted in a different thread:

In that same thread, here is one of my posts:

On July 29, 2025, EPA proposed to rescind the 2009 Greenhouse Gas Endangerment Finding. The Endangerment Finding is a prerequisite for regulating emissions from new motor vehicles and new motor vehicle engines. Absent this finding, EPA lacks statutory authority under Section 202 of the Clean Air Act to prescribe standards for GHG emissions. Therefore, EPA also proposed to remove GHG regulations for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty on-highway vehicles.
As a result of these proposed changes, engine and vehicle manufacturers would no longer have any future obligations for the measurement, control, and reporting of GHG emissions for any highway engine and vehicle, including model years manufactured prior to this proposal. However, EPA intends to retain, without modification, regulations necessary for criteria pollutant and air toxic measurement and standards, Corporate Average Fuel Economy testing, and associated fuel economy labeling requirements.

I love it. Does exactly what I have been advocating for a long time. Focus on pollution, don't worry about CO2.
That EPA link contains more information in four more links.

The video I just posted in the previous post gives clear and concise reasons why the draconian regulations are being lifted.

That is a breath of fresh air, "We will follow the law" wow what a concept!

Posted on another thread:

On July 29, 2025, the Department of Energy (DOE) published a report entitled
A Critical Review of Impacts of Greenhouse Gas Emissions on the U.S.

Among the key findings, the report concludes that carbon dioxide (CO2) -induced
warming appears to be less damaging economically than commonly believed,
and that aggressive mitigation strategies could be more harmful than beneficial.
Additionally, the report finds that U.S. policy actions are expected to have undetectably
small direct impacts on the global climate and any effects will emerge only with
long delays.
...

Summary:

This report:

Reviews scientific certainties and uncertainties in how anthropogenic emissions of CO2
and other GHGs have affected, or will affect, the Nation’s climate, extreme weather events,
and metrics of societal well-being.

Assesses the near-term impacts of elevated concentrations of CO2, including enhanced
plant growth and reduced ocean alkalinity.

Evaluates data and projections regarding long-term impacts of elevated concentrations
of CO2, including estimates of future warming.

Finds that claims of increased frequency or intensity of hurricanes, tornadoes, floods,
and droughts are not supported by U.S. historical data.

Asserts that CO2-induced warming appears to be less damaging economically than commonly
believed, and that aggressive mitigation policies could prove more detrimental than beneficial.

Finds that U.S. policy actions are expected to have undetectably small direct impacts on the
global climate and any effects will emerge only with long delays.

Our good friends on the left will need to dispute all the exaggerations, cherry picking,
re-writing of empirical data and just plain lies that have been a mainstay of media and
"climate science" for the last forty plus years.
