The point of the article is to open peoples minds to what is currently happening in the Public Energy Sector that is asking for rate hikes to the tune of 29 Billion to build more power generation station for Data Centers that are expected to demand 12 percent of the national grid in coming years. This is truly going to cost the people more with add-on fees every month as AI consumes more and more energy. This is Global. America is just a pawn in the game of Global Energy.

Here, on the west coast of Canada, our power is hydro which is basically solar and our last hydro bill was less than $100 for two months.

It's been the coldest summer I've ever known in Vancouver. Apartment heat is turned off (by law - don't ask) in summer so we had to supplement with an electric space heater. That drove my hydro bill up 80%! Two months last bill was $60.60!!!
