These two girls missed their flight to Nice, France and in their attempt to rebook the phrase "to Nice" was misunderstood by the airline agent to be "Tunis" (Africa).

They realized the error as the flight was underway.

One video of their journey show them talking to other passengers and asking, 'Is this going to Nice?'

Captioned with, 'the moment we realised we were on the wrong flight and on our way to TUNIS, AFRICA and not NICE, FRANCE'.

Speaking to each other, Hannah says, 'Oh my god Brittney' while Brittney replies, 'Where's Tunisia?'

'I don't know Brittney, he misheard us,' Hannah responds.

Some of the headlines are a bit harsh such as The New York Post referring to them as "clueless American tourists"

That tracks, unfortunately.

Surprised they didn't end up booking a flight to Paris, Texas.

I’m sure there is a ferry across the Med?

Brings this to mind:

Where does the US rank in geography knowledge?

American adults ranked near the bottom in an international test of geographic knowledge, and those 18 to 24 years old performed the poorest of all, a survey released last week by the National Geographic Society has found.

They did eventually make it to Nice. In the comments for the post below a lot of people are pointing out that Tunis is nicer than Nice.

Before I watched the videos, I would have guessed these were two blondes, but now I think they are just two Americans with more money than brains.

Live a little and take advantage of the opportunity from error! If you can make it across Libya, go see the pyramids!

Rather see them over a big ass tower or a bunch of paintings! Could even get spat on by a camel!😁

Yeah, it happens occasionally. I remember this story from years ago.

An Oakland man mistook a flight to “Auckland” for one to his hometown and added 12,000 miles to his journey from a holiday in West Germany, customs officials said Tuesday.

Michael Lewis, 22, was at Los Angeles International Airport intending to fly to the Bay area city, 400 miles north, when Air New Zealand officials allowed him to board an aircraft bound for Auckland.

Not until Tahiti was mentioned during an in-flight announcement did Lewis realize his predicament.

I’m just glad it’s not a regular occurrence. I have to travel to Ontario, California on occasion, and always make sure I’m not booked to Canada instead.

Harsh? Just reading this line "Hannah says, 'Oh my god Brittney" and I could tell they were clueless American tourists. But who isn't clueless sometimes when travelling? Just don't end up in East St Louis.

My heart does not bleed for them. Brittney and Hannah don't know where Tunisia is. They're an embarrassment.

This is absolutely hilarious!! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You do understand that the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre are not in Nice don't you? Or is your real name also Brittney or Hannah???:(🤕:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Tunis is actually quite an interesting visit, but for a couple of naïve young Americans in their short skirts, Nice might be just a little safer.

I'm aware. It's a ******* joke being that it's just in France. No matter what, hope they had a Neice time.

I can see how "to Nice" can wind up as "Tunis" in a conversation between individuals from different nations. At least dress code is lax in Tunis. If they were heading to Riyadh on board burka purchase may have been necessary
