I'm always impressed by right-wingers thinking kids don't have minds of their own. They don't seem to trust their own kids.

Elon is highlighting what parents shouldn't do: put their own wants ahead of their children's needs.

And doing so publicly? I guess he thinks he's got so many kids, he can afford to alienate one or two or three of them....

Kids, esp teens, tend to "hate" a parent if they don't get their way. That is nothing new, is it?

Richard Dawkins said it well in The God Delusion - "when one person suffers from a delusion it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called religion." - That's what the kids are being indoctrinated with - a new religion, right out of 1984.

There is another good book called The God Virus - by Darrell Ray - and it explains how ideas spread, drawing on psychology, sociology, and anthropology, and the book explores how beliefs and practices spread, replicate, and evolve, and the impact they have on individuals and society as a whole. It concentrates on the religious ideas and how they spread, but the concepts are quite transferrable to mass delusions like the gender ideology.
