4 Multimillion-Dollar Show Homes Set Ablaze; Earth Liberation Front Sign Left At Scene


(CBS/AP) Explosive devices were found inside multimillion-dollar show homes that burned in a suburb north of Seattle Monday, fire officials said. Authorities also found a spray-painted sign purportedly left by a radical environmental group at the scene.

Fire Chief Rick Eastman of Snohomish County District 7 said fire crews discovered the devices inside the houses and were able to remove them.

A total of five devices were found, reports CBS affiliate KIRO-TV in Seattle. A device in one home apparently didn’t go off.

That right there is enough to go after them for attempted murder. Idiots.
 
Terrorism for a political message of this level...or the level of people who send explosives to abortion clinics or doctors houses...do a disservice to their cause. I hope these people are found, tried, convicted, and locked up for a good bit of time.
 
There is no difference between these ELF people and the islamists who flew the planes into the World Trade Center or the IRA cowards who killed Lord Mountbatten with a bomb.

I always laughed about that. Nothing fights against the stereotype of environmentalists some times being namby pamby fairies like calling yourself ELFs
 
ELF is around to make PETA look sane. But in the end, this is pretty pathetic. I mean, do they think people are just going to not rebuild? First off, there is insurance to cover a lot of it. Second, they were made in areas that would attract big budget customers. So there is financial windfall with all of this, I mean it's not like they won't lose time and money over it. But they will rebuild, and in doing so consume even more of the product ELF was trying to "save"...actually I have no idea what their goal is. I like to think that they work for construction and lumber concerns...go around torching houses so that people have to rebuy supplies again. But that's cause that line of thought is a little more rational than what usually gets reported as motivation for ELF's actions.
 

I believe you give them too much credit. Most of these eco-terrorists are pretty f'n stupid.

I was listening to the radio earlier today before the Glenn Beck came on and some twit from Fox called the terrorist "radial".What the ****, if I wanted to hear terrorist be called radicals or extremist I would listen to NPR or some other terrorist appeaser or sympathizer network.

Isn't it great the PETA funds this group and ALF? It's just plain cute.
 
Actually most terrorists are not stupid. I can atleast say this for Al Quada, due to the research that has been done by various groups. Most terrorist in that group have high IQ's, they have families, they have a wife and children usually, and have degree's in such things as engineering. So i wouldn't make a statement saying "Most terrorists are stupid." that is not true.. i wish it were. It would make our job a whole lot easier.
 
How much smoke pollution was released in to the atmosphere from these fires?
 
Plus talking to the builders, the housing development was supposed to be one of the "greenest" ever built.

I actually had someone try to do that to my truck once. It was loaded down with donated computers for a Boys and Girls club.... Idiots... (I caught him) :mrgreen:
