SHOW: FOX ON THE RECORD WITH GRETA VAN SUSTEREN 10:23 PM EST
September 25, 2009 Friday
VAN SUSTEREN: I have a copy of a letter in my hand from Dr. Christopher Mann (ph), who is the superintendent of schools, who writes that the lyrics that some people have complained about -- that the lyrics of the song were sent home with the children in advance of the assembly. Is that correct? Have you checked that out?
MITCHELL: That's what we're reporting. Apparently, this is part of school procedure on any type of a skit. The lyrics that are written by probably a teacher in a school are sent home for approval with the parents to see if the parents would object to it. And according to the superintendent, this was sent home in advance of the assembly, and no parents objected to it prior to the assembly, during the assembly or after the assembly.
VAN SUSTEREN: So are any of those parents who -- of the children, have they now come forward and said, A, I didn't get the lyrics, or B, I did get the lyrics, but I've changed my mind?
MITCHELL: We haven't found that yet. I mean, the school district is being very closed-mouthed. They're keeping the children away from reporters and they're keeping the staff away from reporters. They've increased security, so no one can get on the campus. All comment has come from the superintendent's office. No one from the school is commenting about this incident at all. We've had no calls from any of the parents from that school complaining about that skit or complaining about what has happened at that school.
There were twenty-three children in the skit; it looks like Shawn found a couple that he could make a show of didn’t he?That leaves implied consent of the other twenty-one parents.
Now wheres your proof of attempts at indoctrination.
What to do? Both sources are from Fox?
At least we know that someone has made a mistake besides the teacher. The parent, who may have not read the notice about the lyrics and just signed whatever paper their child brought home with them (as that happens a lot). Or, there was no letter sent home in the first place.
Um you have no one but the superintendent making the claim that the form was sent home. In fact we have the actual parents saying that they had no idea that this was going on.
Oh and FYI parental consent notices have to be signed by the parent.
Or so they claim, which was my point.
I know this. But the parent signing it, doesn't automatically mean they've actually read it. If this was the case, it wouldn't surprise me to have a parent say they never actually got the letter, because they never really read it in the first place, but that doesn't mean it was never sent home.
It is speculation though.
Please move to conspiracy theories and get this bull**** out of bn-msm.

Ask yourself one question. Who actually has a motive to lie in this instance? The superintendent or the parents? Is there any parent saying that they got the parental consent forms? No. Has the superintendent provided the signed parental consent forms? No. Do we have parents saying that they were not informed that this was going on? Yes.
Is there evidence that letters were sent home? No. Is there evidence the letters were not sent home? Yes.But this is very easy to prove one way or the other by providing the signed parental consent forms or a parent saying that they did receive one.
Its typical winger BS, Video taken out of context to stir s*** up. Right out Kkarls playbook.

Um what's out of context here? Do you have one scrap of evidence that there was a parental consent form? No sir you do not. Do I have evidence that no such letter was sent home? Why yes I have an interview with the parents of one of the children in the video. If there was a parental consent where are they? If there was a parental consent form where are one of the parents of the 23 children who received it? Currently all you have is the word of a superintendent currently under investigation by the school board for the video.

I would. Doing this with any president or public figure is creepy.Would you say the same thing if students were singing a song about George Bush? Prolly not. Huh? :rofl
More than likely locked up in the superintendent's office seeing as she didn’t have a cable show to do.

The lack of participation from the school itself could be a strategy that the school is taking to avoid making this issue bigger than it already is. The principal of that school has received death threats from fanatical anti-Obama folks. So it's understandable.
It's not such a stretch to see that the school, AND the parents involved, wouldn't want to publicize the incident any further, with good reason. As far as I'm concerned, this seems to be appropriate action taken in favor of the school and the parents and the students themselves.
The official word from the superintendent, it seems, is all you're going to get.
