Thats the word YOU used, attributing it to trump.
I am bound to accept the will of the people, but Trump's election to president says something disturbing about a large portion of the electorate. Your gaslighting tactic will not work on me. He was treacherous in his business dealings and that has continued into his presidency. Stop the denial now that he himself is not responsible for his racism. The media are merely reporting his words. I've seen it, and then his denials that he said it. It is ridiculous at this point to keep denying he is a traitorous racist, it makes you look clueless. The fact that he is a treacherous racist nullifies everything else he says he's doing at this point. Don't tell me this is a baseless media attack because I've heard all the evidence from his mouth on video. Again, the attempted gaslighting does not work. Just stop.
Nonsense, He was calling the illegal immigrants who are murderers and rapists, murderers and rapists. Has confirmed this repeatedly. And the left and their media, desperate to stoke racist fear and hatred, repeatedly claim he is talking about all Nexicans in order to stoke racist fear and hatred. This is by design. This is their intent.
I didn't mention the media once - you did.
People here in Canada, one of the most generous countries in the world for welcoming refugees and opening up our country to legal immigration, are now in the majority opposed to our levels of legal immigration and helping refugees because our idiot of a leftist Prime Minister and his government has welcomed people storming our border illegally and scamming our legal immigration system and doing nothing to stop it. It is no different, except on a much smaller scale, to what's happening on your southern border, all encouraged and excused by American leftists. Even those who care for those less fortunate are opposed to having our country and society abused and scammed by those unwilling to follow our laws.
If you feel your President is partially responsible for what has happened recently, you have to also accept that many with your liberal bent are also partially responsible for encouraging illegal aliens to abuse your country's generous nature. Live with it.
If there were a meter to measure any blame for the recent shootings, the "liberal bent" wouldn't register, while Donny would be off the charts. What does this have to do with Americans shooting other Americans anyway? Are you planning to shoot fellow Canadians because illegals are storming your border? WTF?

El Paso congresswoman says Trump is ‘not welcome’ in the city - MarketWatch
Lets just keep smearing all the poop all over everything
Nobody with common sense would want a lying, bullying, scumbag racist
I really believed that by now, you anti-Trump people would have shifted out of elementary school mode, and gone back into adult mode... Boy was I wrong.
.
Aaaaand the nuance is lost on you too. Try reading next time ya get butthurt.
Your last sentence couldn’t be more wrong. One could enforce the border as previous presidents have done, (Obama was referred to as the “deporter in chief” by advocates) deport those here illegally, be as tough as you want without demonizing migrants, without trying to overturn decades of asylum decisions, etc. That is the point you miss.
El Paso probably kept the tab open.....let the emotional healing begin, rite?
I'm not missing any point - my point, clearly, is that when governments refuse to enforce the laws of the land and protect our borders from what amounts to organized invasions, then some people who feel helpless to do anything about it may snap and take violent actions against those they see as harming the country they love.
Not once in your response to me do you acknowledge any responsibility on the part of those in America and here in Canada, largely on the left who seem to see immigrants as easy vote banks on their way to power, for encouraging lawless entry into our countries and who criticize and condemn as racist any who act to support our countries sovereignty and laws.
Since someone mentioned the media previously, I'd just note in closing that it seems the media is fixated on the background of the shooter in El Paso who targeted Hispanics and used language similar to that of President Trump and yet that same media appears to be silent about the background of the shooter in Dayton who appears to have been a Communist sympathizer, a supporter of Bernie Sanders, and a supporter of Antifa. Are you hearing the same type of outrage about this mass murdering leftist and his apparent support for the political ideology of the left?
I'll just skip over your absolving Trump and blaming democrats (I assume) for the shooter in El Paso, since the people in El Paso have spoken to that the past few days. The mass murderer in Ohio may have been a leftist just as Ted Bundy was a republican. But neither of them indicated that they killed because of their ideology. They guy in El Paso did indicate -- assuming the manifesto is his -- that his actions were related to issues Trump raised about immigration. Did the killer in Dayton target his victims because of their race or ethnicity or because he suspected they weren't Warren supporters? If he was motivated by liberalism, why did he shoot black people?
Your comparison of the El Paso and Dayton as Trump did wins the "Apples and Oranges" award with oak leaf clusters.
Nice try, but I wasn't comparing the two other than to point out the biased liberal media has said virtually nothing about the background of the Dayton shooter while going out of their way to blame President Trump for the murders in El Paso and by silent connection to the murders in Dayton.
And sorry the murderer in Dayton didn't fess up to why - being killed by the police while in the act makes confession a little more difficult. But I'll wait breathlessly for the media to fully delve into the background and beliefs of the Dayton shooter if they ever get around to it. I won't count on it, since it doesn't fit their agenda.

The biased liberal media reported that the guy was a liberal. That’s how I found out about that irrelevant piece of information, which as I said, is as significant as the fact that Ted Bundy was an active republican. Tell me why should they report the Dayton guy’s background? Unlike the case in El Paso, it had nothing to do with the murders, unless more info comes to light. Perhaps you have evidence that Warren trashed people who frequented that part of Dayton, or that he killed his sister because she wasn’t a liberal.
Let’s review: Trump trashes Latino immigrant’s. Conservative commentators come up with the notion that we won’t recognize America. A guy mentions these things in his screed, then kills 22 people. Reported today that survivors refused to meet with the prez in the hospital. That’s one fact pattern we’ll call “apples.” The other is that a liberal kills a number of people including his sister for no reason as yet revealed. We’ll call that “oranges.” The only thing the incidents have in common is August.
But give Trump credit for great deflection. It worked to the extent that people on the right are drawing absurd parallels between the two shooters’ politics.
What you and others like you fail to recognize is that Trump isn't initiating the "movement" so much as he's reflecting the "movement", a "movement" so strong in your country that against all odds elected him President when all your media and pundit class claimed it was impossible and did everything in their power to defeat it.
The arrogant know it alls on the left better wake up and smell the roses because the silent majority has had enough of your "virtue signaling" and morality plays that try to demonize anyone who disagrees with your prime directive. The silent majority has found an outspoken champion in President Trump and the majority of them will continue to support him, particularly if you post up a challenger like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren or one of the even more radical socialists to run against him in 2020.
Do I support or condone what has been happening in your great country - not at all. I'm well on record as not supporting Donald Trump for the Republican nomination but for many Americans he was a far better choice than another round of corrupt Clintons in the White House. Maybe, one day, you'll get back to nominating and supporting statesmen and stateswomen who represent the finest that America has to offer but at this point in time that hope seems highly unlikely.

The movement Trump reflects and appealed to, if one can call it that, was one of periodic resentment of and reaction to periods of immigration and/or social progress in US history. Nothing new there, see the so-called Southen Strategy in response to civil rights. I posted elsewhere on DP an editorial from the NYTimes in 1890 about Sicilians that was remarkably similar to Trump's escalator comments about Mexicans. Trump would have been talking about Jews and Italians 100 years ago, about the Irish some years before then, and about southen Germans before then.
And Lincoln signaled virtue, as did the suffragettes, Martin Luther King, Cesar Chavez, and the second wave of feminists. Imperfectly and perhaps obnoxiously at times, but history has moved forward in response to their signals. Yes, we have not practiced what we preach when it comes to principles of the Declaration of Independence or the Bill of Rights. But Trump has not practiced and long ago, before his presidency, even abandoned preaching our principles, with his appeals to bigotry, and advocacy of torture and war crimes.
And please, Trump was an improvement on Clinton corruption? You don't need a diploma from Trump University to realize how his administration has soared past anything that the Clinton's did. Apply for a grant from the Trump Foundation to study these things if you need more information.
If I wanted to study corruption, I'd seek a job with the Clinton Foundation - best to seek out the leading experts in a field when beginning a study.
Nothing racist about his words they report. The racism is purely found in the words they themselves add to his to justify their characterization as racist. Trumo says 'good people on both sides' and the media reports that Trump says neo Nazis and white supremist are good people. When in fact he excluded them both by name.
