Duce, can you hit Moscow?... Can you hit St Petersburg too?

Of course, the Duce can, will gladly do that, and has hit the Kremlin before. Crazy question from Trump to Zelensky: asking about hitting Moscow or St Petersburg. Nothing will tickle the Ukrainian Duce than Moscow on fire. For that the Duce will like something better than the crude drones he hit the Kremlin with before. The drones at the time barely scratched the Kremlin. Of course, the Duce is not gonna be receiving nukes; which is a shame. Maybe Trump has a few tomahawks to spare?

According to Ukrainians this fantastic and promising conversation took place July 4th Indepence Day in a call Trump placed to the Duce. Independence Day, starring Will Smith, is one of my top movies. Hollywood has to start work on another release starring the Volodomyr. With Russians as the aliens

But Trump had more on his mind than just arson in Moscow and St Petersburg. Trump also wants the Duce to take to the offensive. According to the Ukrainian sources it was the view of Trump that Ukraine has to take to the offensive if the course of the war has to be altered. Makes sense.

Is Ukraine ready for another counteroffensive after the disastrous 2023 counteroffensive? That counteroffensive was thanks to a herculean contribution of Leopards, Bradleys, Challengers from the west. The Russian Army of today is way more puissant than in 2023; meaning the Duce will need many times more Leopards, Bradleys and Challengers than in 2023. Is Trump ready to chip in?

The Ukrainian Duce is clearly in a terrible fix. Comparable to that of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. The Duce can stay on the defense, except it only slows down the grind of the Army of the Russian Federation. Trump is correct, Ukraine has to take to the offensive. Maybe Trump was visited in a dream by the ghost of Confederate General Robert E Lee; who asked him: why not take to the offensive? It did not work in the end for Gen Lee, but it may work for the Duce.

According to a Ukrainian official, Trump asked Zelensky if he and Ukraine were in a position to attack the Russian capital. "Volodymyr, can you hit Moscow?... Can you hit St Petersburg too?” Trump reportedly asked on the call. The Ukrainian president replied: “Absolutely. We can if you give us the weapons."

It was reported that, following Zelensky's call with Trump, Kyiv received a list from US aides with various long-range strike systems that would be made available through third-party transfers. It was later reported that Trump clarified that he told Zelensky not to attack the Russian capital. Trump also denied that he would supply long-range weaponry.

Striking Moscow would be a terrible move.
It's a huge civilian city and most killed in any action will have nothing to do with the war.
All it will accomplish is make Russians more determined.
They need to keep hitting military targets.

makes NO sense. Trump campaigns on ending the war but now ( if true) wants to escalate it..I knew this was going to happen. Nevermind the fact Z refuses any territorial loss ( unrealistik) now he and Trump want the damn thing to blow up instead of cool down.
This is the only realistic scenario where Putin hits back with a battlefield nuke - not saying he will but it ramps up the odds.
I'm not sure if the Trump part is true. I tend to believe it though as Trump is so ego driven, and takes it personally
 
Every week that Ukraine continues to resist the invasion is a victory.

He's accusing Zelensky of being a fascist while caping for the Russian invader.

Russians are happy they get coffin $. Ukrainians are happy they're not enslaved by totalitarian Moskovie. I'm happy I get to chill at home and not fight on the front lines.
 
Some like to forget the painfully obvious, so maybe it needs to be spelled out again: Russia started this war, not Ukraine. Ukraine is the victim, not Russia.

You don't tell a rape victim to stop resisting in the name of ending violence. You don't tell a rape victim to just let him take whatever he wants in the name of ending violence. Every moment she fights back is a victory, not a mindless stalemate of carnage. What an absurd take that is. As if both sides are equally to blame.

Either Putin's will to wage war, or his ability to wage war, need to be removed.

I'll never call for civilians to be targeted or killed, but warfighting targets in Moscow and St Petersburg? Light em up.
 
Everyone who doesn't have their head way up their own ass knows that, unlike the mad missile man Putin, Zelenskyy doesn't target civilians. When it comes to occupying the moral high ground, Volodymyr sits atop Mount Hoverla, while Vladimir shits himself on a beach with his toes in the Caspian Sea. Likewise, only those not overflowing with putrid Putin propaganda knows that Bad Vlad has been embarrassed beyond measure for 3-1/2 ****ing years. Can you believe it? It boggles the mind!

Tiny little Ukraine has been handing the mighty Russian empire its ass for THREE AND A HALF ****ING YEARS!


The heavily out-manned and outgunned comedic actor - (star of such classic Ukrainian cinema as Rassmeshi Komika, 8 First Dates, and No Love in the City) has completely slammed the dick in the dirt of a Lieutenant Colonel from the Soviet Union's much vaunted KGB, outfighting him for 3-1/2 years! Is it possible to even imagine the breadth and depth of humiliation that Putin, his idiot acolytes, and his generals in the Kremlin must feel? How do they not soak themselves in vodka, lock their doors, and race to hide under the bed in shame, every single night, just to get some sleep? 3-1/2 years!

Lucky for Putin, Trump has given him until Labor Day to "win" his war in Ukraine. After that, the cost of war goes up. At least that's if you can believe anything Trump says, which, quite frankly, no educated adult can.

Resisting the aggression of a much larger, stronger neighbour is victory. Victory is the opposite of defeat. If there's carnage that's on Russia. It's up to Russia to back off.

That is if he wants to escalate the war. It is not always clear with Trump. What I will say is it was more a case of Trump examining whether the path to ending the war is through an escalation of limited duration. A big, spectacular, headline grabbing strike like the one on Iran. After which the Russians hopefully will come to the table. Its a mad gamble. What if the Russians also escalate, meaning the hoped for escalation of limited duration becomes an escalation of extended duration?

But Trump also absolutely does not want to own the war. A quandary. Cause if his hoped for escalation of limited duration becomes an extended escalation then it becomes his war. This is the trap the Europeans and Ukraine have been setting up for him. He has to avoid that.






The Ukrainian side had an interest in releasing the contents of the conversation. It helps shape the political discourse.

But no one really knows what Trump will do. What he said during that conversation was True only for that day and that conversation. To assume it is True the day after is to misunderstand Trump. My suspicion is that he has moved on.

Why?

The non interventionist side of his team must have quickly pointed out to him that Zelensky absolutely expects Trump to foot the bill the bill for a counteroffensive. And its not small change. It could run into tens of billions of dollars as Ukraine will need a many times more puissant force than what was put together for the 2023 disastrous counteroffensive. On this point Trump is a constant. When it comes to money Trump is not an eccentric. Trump will not throw good money after bad money.

So who foots the bill for any potential Ukrainian counteroffensive?

Here Trump lately pulled off a diplomatic success. He got Nato Secretary General Rutte to publicly accept for Europe the responsibility of paying for Zelensky's War! Can you imagine that? That Rutte is not as smart as he thinks. I say he is an idiot. Now Trump can always say send the bill to Bruxelles.

And how are Europeans coping with Rutte the Fool's capitulation in DC? Turns out Rutte the Fool never consulted his European counterparts. France quickly bailed out. Followed by Italy. Spain and Greece are expected to bail out as well. Poland is dead silent. The Three Baltic Midgets are also silent.

It may explain why the Duce wants talks next week with Russia

NATO isn't involved. Some NATO member nations are but it's entirely up to them.
Russia should not have invaded Ukraine, should they. They thought it would be a walk in the park but they bit off more than they could chew.
