This last week in San Francisco I had an opportunity to take ride in a WAYMO, a car that can be summoned much like an Uber or Lyft. The difference is this rideshare has no driver.

After getting past the surreal absurdity of no driver, the ride was very smooth and comfortable.

This close to changing my name to George Jetson.IMG_20250517_170041.webp

I’ve done maybe 100 Waymo rides now and every single one has been smooth and impressive. There can be some awkwardness with the first and last 50 or so feet, but otherwise it’s a polished experience.

Easy cash for those who own the fleet of cars, they dont have to do much. Bad for people who need jobs :/. This is the sort of future AI is going to take us….
