Part of the reason this is so murky is the extreme partisanship that shouldn't exist with health and disease.

UV lights weren't being studied rectally it was theorized but by Trump my people within medical research that if it was applied to the chest it might disinfect lungs it turned out not to work but the people experimenting with it were not Donald Trump.

The vast majority of misinformation about covid 19 was coming from the left and the mainstream media.
