The man is certifiable. He needs to find a nice safe place where he can sit and come up with new fantasies and tell his friends all about it.

"We won, the last time, 50 states, think of it, 50 states," he told the Freedom Summit, outside Orlando, Florida, on Saturday night.

"We won every state. We then did great in the election. We got 12 million more votes or so … 12 million more votes than we got the first time.

If I had to guess, Trump must've watched an old clip of Tim Pool predicting Trump would win 2020 with 48 states and, in Trump fashion, took it as fact and rounded up.
 
Trump knows its a lie but he also knows that is what the MAGAs want to hear to keep his political career alive and to continue the grift that he needs to keep going to pay his legal fees.

My guess is that he lies at his rallies and his supporters know it too. IMO, he lies because he likes owning the libs and anti-Trumpers he knows are hanging on every one of his outrageous words. By the looks of the replies in this thread, he wouldn't be wrong.

In no way am I defending him. I'm just saying why I think he does this.
 
Trump's problem is there's no way a normal person can tell whether you can believe anything he says - about anything. And the MAGA morons will say, "but I like his policies".

He lies to own the Dem. What a joke of a candidate and what a joke to see you defending his 24/7 lies.

Just so you know Trix, he lies because for the reason he's already told you he lies. He lies to tell people, including himself, what he thinks they want to believe, and he gets a significant positive response from a specific demographic. That Democrats are outraged at lies from a presidential candidate is a good and normal thing, and is secondary to the above.

But his entertainment value is so huge, and that's all that matters.

There is a lot of truth to this statement. Donald Trump by all accounts is a wretched human being but his supporters love his image on TV. It's a sad statement for America and why we are getting laughed at.
