Little mouse-that-roared Estonian head of EU is trying to bully other EU member states against exercising their sovereign right to attend WW2 victory celebrations.

Which side of the war were her fellow Estonians on back then?

Don’t go to Russia’s WWII victory day celebrations, EU warns European leaders

The European Union’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas warned European leaders on Monday against participating in Moscow’s military celebrations on May 9, inviting them to show solidarity with Ukraine instead.

According to Russian media, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s government has extended invitations to the leaders of China, India and Brazil — as well as to EU country Slovakia and to Serbia, which aspires to join the 27-member bloc.

EU’s Kallas urges leaders to boycott Moscow’s May 9 celebrations, show support for Ukraine

The European Union’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas warned European leaders on April 15 against attending Russia’s May 9 military celebrations in Moscow and urged them to demonstrate solidarity with Ukraine instead.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s government has reportedly invited leaders from China, India, and Brazil, as well as from EU member Slovakia and EU candidate Serbia, to attend the events marking the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany.

Russia's key allies will go - America, Belarus etc.

I expect most European countries won't attend or will send a very junior delegation.

So the good guys -- and that includes Slovakia, Serbia, and others.

Kallas is a little mouse-that-roared, like her fellow yappy Baltic poodles.

They don't really care about WW2 anymore - they've lost their respect for the Greatest Generation and the sacrifices made.
It's the same with Canadians. "Shut up and give me my welfare cheque, I got better things to do"

smh:oops:

Those who don't remember the past are doomed to repeat it. Keep following that path, Allan - and see where it gets you.

Was the Soviet Russian occupation better than the Nazi German occupation?

Dude. What is your obsession with siding with Russia/Putin? He's an evil murderer.

Surely you don't side with other people like that.

So much outrage over what the Op sees as such a little mouse
As long as the fascist dictator Putin is in charge screw Russia

Serbia has been told by Brussels that if their president goes, they can kiss EU membership goodbye until they have a different leader with different policies.

It's not just the Baltics.

Was the Soviet Russian occupation better than the Nazi German occupation?
Why have they celebrated the defeat of Nazi Germany across many decades then?
Those who forget their past are doomed to repeat it. Keep going down that path, Grand Mal (very aptly named)

No country sacrificed so many people to liberate so many people from Hitler, than the Russians did.

Too bad they're cosplaying the Nazis now, right?

In WWII Esonians did not get to choose which side to be on. They were first occupied by Germany and then the USSR.

rabid little mouse/rat

The war is not due to Putin's mere whim, but due to the sentiments of the Russian people that their safety is in peril - which it is - or was, before they stood up for themselves.
Azov fascists are near their end.

We know which side you Scandinavians leaned towards -- the wrong side. Yet you got off with a slap on the wrist, because of your blonde blue-eyed looks.

Actually, this is a wise precaution. Russia will probably try to have them killed if they show up.

Russia's safety was not in peril . Russia uses this lie in a desperate attempt to justify their unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.

How many times are you going to repeat the same lie?

Why have they celebrated the defeat of Nazi Germany across many decades then?
Then what? You didn't answer the question.

Yeah yeah. Keep repeating a trite cliche that has nothing to do with the discussion.
No country sacrificed so many people to liberate so many people from Hitler, than the Russians did.
Yes I know.
Was Stalin better than Hitler? Was the Soviet Russian occupation better than the Nazi German occupation?

Nope, Russia's perceptions were just like US perceptions when it blockaded Cuba, and then even later attempted its invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs in a special military operations.
Your memory is conveniently and selectively self-serving.

That's why NATO is doomed - because nobody wants to be stuck sliding to apocalyptic armageddon just on the whim of some ethnic partisans.
