A new group, first noted by the Southern Poverty Law Center, so some people decided it was a bunch of crap and not worthy of notice. Others, a bit more involved in studying the matter of domestic terrorism have different thoughts on the matter than those who reject the SPLC findings.

Alone Together And Angry: An Incel Revolution

Incels, or involuntary celibates, are primarily men who comprise an online subculture that blames women for their inability to find romance or intimacy. Espousing male supremacist views, these individuals self-describe as resentful and disconnected, often justifying violence against people who more easily interact and engage in relationships with members of the opposite sex.

Steve Crimando of the New Jersey Department of Human Services' Disaster and Terrorism Branch joins us to discuss the Incel movement, how extremist groups might exploit their grievances, and what role mental health has in such cases.

Incels of course are not the only domestic terrorism threats as noted in the Texas report

Of course, some on this forum will dismiss the podcast as just more 'librul' propaganda attacking "real Americans", but I wonder what they will think when they read the following from the "great state of Texas"

Texas Domestic Terrorism Threat Assessment (49 page PDF)

The key analytic judgments of this assessment include:

 (U) Domestic terrorism poses a persistent and varied threat to the State of Texas. There are
three overall types of domestic terrorism: racially motivated, anti-government, and single issue.
Each type contains further subsets, creating a fair amount of variance within this threat. Texas has
previous or current activity associated with each of these types of domestic terrorism. This
includes the recent loss of 22 lives when a suspected domestic terrorist opened fire in an El Paso,
Texas Walmart.

 (U) Based on the prevalence of recently conducted attacks nationwide, White Racially
Motivated (WRM) is currently the most violently active domestic terrorism type. Since
2018, WRM actors were responsible for at least three major attacks in the United States
(including one in Texas), and several thwarted incidents. This activity outnumbered the other
domestic terrorism types. While other types of domestic terrorism have shown threatening and
forceful behavior, the loss of life from recent WRM attacks elevates the nature of this specific
threat.

 (U) Although not a new movement, Involuntary Celibates (Incels) are an emerging domestic
terrorism threat as current adherents demonstrate marked acts or threats of violence in
furtherance of their social grievance. Once viewed as a criminal threat by many law
enforcement authorities, Incels are now seen as a growing domestic terrorism concern due to the
ideological nature of recent Incel attacks internationally, nationwide, and in Texas. What begins
as a personal grievance due to perceived rejection by women may morph into allegiance to, and
attempts to further, an Incel Rebellion. The result has thrust the Incel movement into the realm of
domestic terrorism. The violence demonstrated by Incels in the past decade, coupled with
extremely violent online rhetoric, suggests this particular threat could soon match, or potentially
eclipse, the level of lethalness demonstrated by other domestic terrorism types.

It probably needs to be restated for some people that as you said, this report came from the state of Texas, not Washington, DC.

Yes and yes. Cops create dumb stuff all the time.

My father went to a conference on interstate drug trafficking in the 80s, (he was military police and this was a law enforcement conference) and they were talking about recognizing drug dealers by the fact they may be traveling in cars with out of state plates and may be eating fast food and may have road maps in access of the driver seat.

Interesting, so for you, one incident of stupid remarks at a conference from 30 years past, provides support for your claim about "liberal bureaucrats" just churning out reports to justify their tax-payer funding.

I would say your political philosophy appears to be closer to Libertarianism than Conservatism but that's just my opinion.

I tend to dismiss EVERYTHING from the SPLC. They became as corrupt as SNOPES.

That being said...sure...I believe there are a growing number of incels. How can there not be? Hell look...at the number of impotent men running around embracing feminist agendas ever increasing in both intensity and lunacy. Leftism and colleges are breeding a growing number of skinny jeans wearing ***** hat wearing impotent men children running around trying to appeal to women that wouldnt give them a second look as anything but the most pathetic remnant of the 'patriarchy'. Real women wont **** them. The progr/leftist feminists they are trying to appeal to dont want them. They are threatened by conservative ideals of hard work, family, spirituality. Eventually...they lose their identity and dont know WHO to blame...they just know that no one wants to be with them. So they have to content themselves with D and D and Magic and feed their own inadequacy fueled hatred. Incels focus their own impotent rage against women...but you can see it manifest in all sorts of people. Couple that with the introduction of social media lifestyles, access to violence as a means of expression, and the ever growing prog/left gender identity crisis...its a pretty potent potential hotbed for destruction.

Generationally...teens have pretty much always struggled somewhat becoming comfortable with themselves, their shyness, often around people of the opposite sex but sometimes just about being around people in general. But up until the 90s MOST people found a way to overcome that...based on pure survival. But starting in the 90s and growing more so today...they found they didnt have to...because they could get most of their social needs met anonymously...online...but not without a cost.

BTW...the "lonely alone" phenomenon is nothing new. It is essentially the mindset embraced by Eric Harris and Dylan Kleibold. They were fringe members of a group of about 30 kids that considered themselves loners, isolated, and friendless...except for each other. You can see how the mindest feeds the dysfunction. You can also see the contradiction. We are so lonely...there are only 30 of us and we dont have any friends...

Funny how at least two state law enforcement agencies agree with SPLC in regards to the danger of Incels. How is Snopes corrupt? In your opinion because they debunk so many crazy rightie memes?

Those "real women" you mention, are the ones who have fallen into, or been raised in the old-style "Men are supposed to rule" beliefs and often suffer as a consequence.

They may be a threat in terms of committing crime, even heinous crime. But there’s no international incel terrorist movement carrying out an incel political agenda.

SNOPES was once a myth busting oddity website. SNOPES has become a garbage leftist propaganda site. Probably had something to do with the founder deciding to have an affair with a hooker and then putting her in the payroll, then hiring a leftist blogger to be their ‘fact checker’. The SPLC...their history of corruption is also well documented.

That being said...I agreed with you that there is a developing problem with incels and even showed their history.
