DOJ official directs prosecutors to prepare probes of George Soros' foundation

Multiple top federal prosecutors at U.S. attorney's offices around the country received a directive Monday to prepare to launch investigations into the Open Society Foundations, a group funded by the billionaire Democratic donor George Soros, multiple sources confirmed to ABC News.

The order from Aakash Singh, a senior official in Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's office, was sent to U.S. attorney's offices in at least seven states, the sources confirmed, including California, New York, Illinois, Michigan and Maryland.

Mr. Singh will be getting disbarred soon.

This is nothing but a political attack.

The DOJ shouldn’t be probing law abiding foundations or citizens. Unless there is real evidence of wrongdoing, this is purely a political attack based on nothing but Trump’s desire to weaponize the DOJ to go after his percieved enemies. The DOJ is supposed to go after alleged lawbreakers based on evidence and probable cause. There is none at all in this case. They have no legal basis at all for this. It is a waste of taxpayers money and the manpower of the DOJ. All part of the Trump reality show meant to make headlines to denigrate those he doesn’t like.

I would recommend at this point anyone who can get out of the country- do so now. This is getting quite ominous. There is already a record number of Americans renouncing their citizenship and leaving, especially among the educated.
