Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers stated:
“The Department of Justice has completed its review of the 29 FISA applications that were the subject of preliminary findings by the DOJ Inspector General (OIG) in March 2020. We are pleased that our review of these applications concluded that all contained sufficient basis for probable cause and uncovered only two material errors, neither of which invalidated the authorizations granted by the FISA Court. These findings, together with the more than 40 corrective actions undertaken by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Division, should instill confidence in the FBI’s use of FISA authorities. We would like to express our appreciation to the OIG for their focus on the Department’s use of its national security authority. We remain committed to improving the FISA process to ensure that we use these tools consistent with the law and our obligations to the FISA Court. The ability to surveil and to investigate using FISA authorities remains critical to confronting current national security threats, including election interference, Chinese espionage and terrorism.”
Does not matter conspiracy kooks gonna conspiracy no matter what.
(See page 6), Declaration of Dawn M. Browning... https://www.justice.gov/nsd/page/file/1300701/downloadUltimately the FBI recognizes that final judgements about materiality and probable cause findings properly rest with this Court. Accordingly, the FBI is grateful for the opportunity to build on the OIG's work by providing to the Court the information in this declaration.

They'll just keep prattling on about Deep State. Same ****, different day.
Do you ever turn that projector off?You know the drill. If someone says something that doesn't line up with what Trumpists want to hear, that person must just hate Trump (or was stymied b shadow libs)
UntrueNot sure what all the horn blowing is about here.
We already know that the FISA warrant with respect to investigating the alleged Trump conspiracy with Russia (in that situation focusing on Carter Page) was flawed.
To the extent that others ones sought over the past several years for were sound only brings attention to how flawed and baseless the allegation and investigation of the Trump/Russia conspiracy truly was.
That might be a stretch. Sure the Page application was problematic, but the fact that so many others are may just show that the FBI sucks at this. Not sure what all the horn blowing is about here.

4 material errors, seriously. Wow you got em!!!I don't like starting new threads so I'm piggy-backing off this one.
New report from IG Horowitz regarding the FBI and FISA.
"Audit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Execution of Its Woods Procedures for Applications Filed with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court Relating to U.S. Persons"
It's a lot of boring reading but basically the FBI is just not very thorough with this power and Horowitz recommends they clean things up. Nothing too exciting here.
The initial Page FISA warrant was legit and passed muster. But yea let’s pretend there was nothing to see with Trump and his fools in constant contact with the RUSSIANS. My lordThat might be a stretch. Sure the Page application was problematic, but the fact that so many others are may just show that the FBI sucks at this.
I don't understand why people like yourself feel the need to overplay your hand. Was the FISA completely baseless, written by a kindergarten student, and made up completely of lies? No. Was it perfect though? Definitely not. I am not pretending anything. If you would like to challenge any of Michael Horowitz's findings I suppose you could contact his office. The initial Page FISA warrant was legit and passed muster. But yea let’s pretend there was nothing to see with Trump and his fools in constant contact with the RUSSIANS. My lord
I got who? Is it possible you accidentally replied to the wrong post? There were over a hundred errors, material and otherwise.4 material errors, seriously. Wow you got em!!!
Did you read it? 209 mistakes 4 were material. That’s it, the FBI is far from perfect but your claims are not correct.I got who? Is it possible you accidentally replied to the wrong post? There were over a hundred errors, material and otherwise.
What claim??Did you read it? 209 mistakes 4 were material. That’s it, the FBI is far from perfect but your claims are not correct.
What claim??
Ahh gotcha. At least it’s not seventeen “significant” errors and omissions in only four FISA apps, but yeah. My point was only that in all these other FISAs it appears the FBI is merely sloppy."Material and otherwise" is wildly deceptive when only 4 were material.
Other mistakes can mean typos.
It's a system designed to be exploitable to suit the government's wishes.Ahh gotcha. At least it’s not seventeen “significant” errors and omissions in only four FISA apps, but yeah. My point was only that in all these other FISAs it appears the FBI is merely sloppy.
Oh let’s hear about your personal experience where you can speak about what or what doesn’t need to be done writing an affidavit.Ahh gotcha. At least it’s not seventeen “significant” errors and omissions in only four FISA apps, but yeah. My point was only that in all these other FISAs it appears the FBI is merely sloppy.
Hahahahaha. Nope you got me there. I have never submitted documents to a court which were later scrutinized by an Inspector General who found at least seventeen errors and omissions. I guess since I don’t have that experience I can’t have an opinion on a GD political debate website.Oh let’s hear about your personal experience where you can speak about what or what doesn’t need to be done writing an affidavit.
There’s the thing the OIG sees things in pure black and white and has zero practical expertise, they are the ultimate Monday Morning Quarterback. In the middle of a massive investigation there are things going on at a fast pace and it is an investigation for a reason, trying to gather as much info to ascertain what crimes are or are not be committed.Hahahahaha. Nope you got me there. I have never submitted documents to a court which were later scrutinized by an Inspector General who found at least seventeen errors and omissions. I guess since I don’t have that experience I can’t have an opinion on a GD political debate website.
