Under Trump’s revived mass arrest campaign, immigrants are being packed into overcrowded cells, sleeping on concrete floors, denied medication for chronic illnesses, and disappearing from contact with their families and lawyers.

shrug...don't know.

There's probably a law about that. Look it up.

Yes. It's not ambiguous. and my god, what kind of country do we want to be anyway.

Keep reading the headlines....

That's what you're becoming.

The most used active verb in US news these days is "arrested" or "raided". It's supposedly about immigrants, but it sure enures you to arrests being an every hour occurrence and underscores the idea that there is a need for them.

Nixon would have loved this!

No.

The federal government is not required to provide legal representation - typically referred to as "Public Defenders". While counsel is required under the constitution for criminal cases, immigration detention and deportation is a civil action not a criminal one.

Detainees are allowed the right to counsel, but:
  • They have to pay for it themselves,
  • The attorney must be willing to do pro bono work, or
  • An outside entity can provide counsel.

sure. Americans will either fight back or it’s Rome at the end.

Actually, I think Nixon would be appalled.

That's not praise of Nixon, mind you.

Here we see demonstrated how MAGAs don’t believe in even basic rights and humanitarian treatment of all people.

Cruelty and bigotry is the very crux of their identity.

They are so bitter, so callous and so hateful, they literally do not care one iota about other humans.

So from what I've read Alligator Alcatraz in Florida will be a Tent City out in the everglades.

I'm assuming trailers for they staff that will come in for shifts (?) as probably tradition commute would be difficult(?).

Doesn't Florida have hurricanes?

How will that work?

We'll just call it 'mostly peaceful weather'. That should end all the complaints from libs.

This is a tough one for @Mycroft. Donald has not made a public statement on this subject one way or another, so not only does Mycroft not have any talking points in hand, but expressing any opinion at all puts him at risk if Donald later takes a differing position. Therefore the safe choice is to feign disinterest until Donald defines policy for his puppets.

You can see the same behavior from other entry level MAGA like @verrip1 who opted for “but Liberals!”

It's not really America if the inmates of your concentration camps don't get malaria.
