After watching that MS-13 debacle I had to start questioning my thoughts on Trump. Does he lie a lot? most things he says are not truth that is for sure.Over the years that Trump has been in the public eye, factcheckers have kept track of his frequent lies.................... except.................... his defenders insist that Trump either doesn't lie, or just exaggerates, or is just "trolling" the left. AND the most common defense - well, they ALL lie don't they?
But isn't lying a test of character? Everyone was applauding Jimmy Carter for the life he lived, including conservatives, and a large part of that was for his honesty (even if his foreign policies sucked).
We value honesty, or do we? Is a comfortable lie better than the hearing the truth? Can a man who can't be honest be truly trusted? Or are we labeling someone as a liar who isn't?
So, let's do this, straight up question (hopefully without the deviations and whatabout so and so.....) - Does Donald Trump lie a lot?
I believe he believed Haitians were eating peoples' pets. After watching that MS-13 debacle I had to start questioning my thoughts on Trump. Does he lie a lot? most things he says are not truth that is for sure.
Does he believe it though? That's the question.

Right? At first I thought he was just bloviating to push the outrage, now I am caught wondering if he really is just an idiot the believes every conspiracy theory he hears.I believe he believed Haitians were eating peoples' pets.
It’s a mix of 2, 3, and 5.
There's no reason to wonder.Right? At first I thought he was just bloviating to push the outrage, now I am caught wondering if he really is just an idiot the believes every conspiracy theory he hears.

A really good point. After watching that MS-13 debacle I had to start questioning my thoughts on Trump. Does he lie a lot? most things he says are not truth that is for sure.
Does he believe it though? That's the question.
Doesn't matter. A fact is a fact. If he says something that's not factual, just because he believes it, does not make it truth. It's still a lie. After watching that MS-13 debacle I had to start questioning my thoughts on Trump. Does he lie a lot? most things he says are not truth that is for sure.

Semitics. Technically if he believes it he isn't lying. Doesn't make it the truth, it just makes him wrong.Doesn't matter. A fact is a fact. If he says something that's not factual, just because he believes it, does not make it truth. It's still a lie.
I agree with that to a degree, sometimes he just ignores the subject or says "I never said that"The biggest problem with Trump is he refuses to admit he's ever wrong. Even when proven beyond a reasonable doubt, he doubles down on the lies.
He is a salesman that can sell to half the nation, using half-good acting ability. He is a "B.S." artist. The sad thing is NOT Trump----there are people like him everywhere. The scary part is that so many fall for his crap.Over the years that Trump has been in the public eye, factcheckers have kept track of his frequent lies.................... except.................... his defenders insist that Trump either doesn't lie, or just exaggerates, or is just "trolling" the left. Indeed. Is there any doubt?Constantly.
That also shows a poor commentary on society itself. He is a salesman that can sell to half the nation, using half-good acting ability. He is a "B.S." artist. The sad thing is NOT Trump----there are people like him everywhere. The scary part is that so many fall for his crap.
Yes, Trump lies a lot. What a revelation!Over the years that Trump has been in the public eye, factcheckers have kept track of his frequent lies.................... except.................... his defenders insist that Trump either doesn't lie, or just exaggerates, or is just "trolling" the left. If he believes his lies, that might be even scarier, and then there are his minions.....................Does he believe it though? That's the question.
