Does anyone take Allopurinol?

With my kidney problems i cant take Ibuprophen which was controlling my gout. Now i am having a massive gout attack and the Doc gave me steroids and Allopurinol. I read where a side effect is a possible acute gout attack when you first start taking it. Has that happened to anyone?
 
I don't know, but there is a new medicine-specific AI system out there called OpenEvidence AI.
