Lock her up

She is shady as all get out.

======================

Newly discovered documents alluding to the residence of New York Attorney General Letitia James could have potential legal ramifications, legal experts tell Newsweek.

Newsweek reached out to James' office, New York Governor Kathy Hochul's office, and the Department of Justice (DOJ) for comment.

Why It Matters

James, 66, has served as New York's attorney general since 2019. The Democrat is the first African American and first woman to be elected to that position in state history.

She has gained notoriety in her various legal battles against President Donald Trump and his family, notably a New York judge's ruling in 2024 ordering then-former President Trump to pay a $454 million civil fraud judgment after James sued him for falsely inflating the value of his property.

When we drain the swamp... there are no surprises.

lock her up.
Only if Trump goes first.

Alluding: to make indirect reference.

Could: and as an alternative to can suggesting less force or certainty or as a polite form in the present.

Looks like an airtight case for dupes.

I wonder if El Salvador has any quaint women’s prisons? 😄

What documents show what?

Good God, this is the opening post and you never said.
Read the article. James bought property in Norfolk VA in August 2023, declaring it as her "primary residence".

New York State law says the following: "When an officeholder removes his residence from the territorial limits required by statute, the office is rendered vacant."

So, either,
1) her primary residence is no longer in New York, rendering her office vacant as of August 2023, or,
2) she lied on her mortgage application that the VA house was a "primary residence" in order to get a lower rate (that would be fraud).

🤣

"The article said so!"

Do you believe everything you read on the Internet, or just the ones that you really want to believe?

(This is a rhetorical question, you don't need to answer it. I am just pointing out the lack of critical thinking and intellectual immaturity in your post)

Well, Newsweek has a pretty decent rep.

BTW, mortgage fraud is what took Marilyn Mosby down in Baltimore.

Wonder if it is trend for Democrat female AGs to lie on their mortgage applications?

The left is good at deny, deny, deny.

Exposing a Decade of Letitia James’ Financial Misreporting

Uncovering Financial Discrepancies in Letitia James’ Property Holdings

When New York Attorney General Letitia James secured a $355 million judgment against Donald Trump for allegedly misleading financial statements, she declared it a victory for “transparency and accountability.” However, our recent investigations into Letitia James’ financial discrepancies reveal a troubling pattern of transparency issues spanning more than a decade. From hidden mortgages to inconsistent property valuations and unreported rental income, these discrepancies raise serious questions about the state’s top legal officer’s own adherence to the standards she enforces. This article delves into the historical context and uncovers the financial misreporting that has persisted throughout James’ career.

The Missing Mortgage Mystery

Follow the paper trail of James’ Norfolk, Virginia investment property, and you’ll encounter a puzzling contradiction.

Official property records tell one story. In August 2020, James purchased the modest home for $137,000. She financed it with a $109,600 mortgage from OVM Financial. The mortgage documentation classified it as a second home, with a specific “Second Home Rider” containing legal attestations about occupancy, though lenders typically allow conversion to investment properties with proper notification.

Her sworn financial disclosures tell another story entirely. From day one, she listed the property exclusively as an “investment” generating rental income. But the mortgage that made the purchase possible? It vanished completely – never appearing on a single financial disclosure despite clear legal requirements to report all mortgages on investment properties.

🤣

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but no. It does not.

I understand why you might think it does - it tells you the lies you want to hear.
Attacking the messenger and not the message is an indication that you can't debate on the facts.

🤣

"Newsweek said so!" does not a fact make. There are no "facts" on the table to "debate."

I know this is a reflex for you guys, but it really just highlights how silly this all is - you guys use "critical thinking" buzzwords without understanding them.

If she committed fraud she should be punished, just like Trump. Every MAGA in this thread is being predictably hypocritical.

Read the article

An opening post needs to incorporate the key points. It can be brief.
What it can't do is say NOTHING but go read this link.

That is just lazy posting.

No speculation needed.

The hunter is going to be the hunted here. Plus unlike Trump who had an argmy of lawyers, bankers and professionals all double checking and assisting with his transactions that he then signed off on,

James is the direct party lying, misrepresenting and engaging in open fraud on multiple properties and with regard to her legal residence.

Since when do you or others here read links?

Uh oh. @TheDoctorWasIn is going to raise the BS flag on that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That's why it is always better to get the news straight from the DNC, the ultimate purveyor of unbiased truth. Or from its vetted mouthpiece the MSNBC. All other sources are to be discredited, unless they say something that can be used against Trump or the GOP, then they can be believed. This is the basis of the "Got a link?" strategy the neo-leftists here like to use.

Just as Jesus would do. You are such a devout Christian. Truly inspirational and holy as always, @VySky.
