Do You Think the Federal Reserve Should Maintain its Independence?

i am still waiting for someone to print the truth concerning the fed. probably not today but maybe some day.

this book is a start and i think he has a video out on this Creature from Jekyll Island...

1756409521831.webp...Where does money come from? Where does it go? Who makes it? The money magicians' secrets are unveiled. We get a close look at their mirrors and smoke machines, their pulleys, cogs, and wheels that create the grand illusion called money. A dry and boring subject? Just wait! You'll be hooked in five minutes. Reads like a detective story - which it really is. But it's all true. This book is about the most blatant scam of all history. It's all here: the cause of wars, boom-bust cycles, inflation, depression, prosperity. Creature from Jekyll Island is a "must read." Your world view will definitely change. You'll never trust a politician again - or a banker. https://www.amazon.com/Creature-Jekyll-Island-Federal-Reserve

blessings, Zero days.

Edit, may i interest you all into the Money Masters? sure, i think i will; watch the Education on DP explode...

Trump isn't trying to use the Fed for political purposes. He's trying to get them to support our economy instead of them using their power for political purposes.
LOL
Trump trying to get the Fed to raise or lower interest rates at his discretion is almost the definition of political purpose.
Kudos to the Fed for not being used as political pawns by Donnie.

Neither Obama nor Biden would ever have to do anything because the Fed was politically aligned with both of them. That means your whataboutism is irrelevant nonsense.
How was it "politically aligned" with both of them? I can't wait to hear this fairy tale....
:D

The Federal Reserve invents free money for the richest banks to use to lord their wealth over the rest of us. They do not do postal banking or create a money supply from scratch in the hands of students who want to go to college. I shouldn't mourn over them.

But Trump is just a crooked rich guy taking over the other rich guys' piggy banks. It's probably not going to end well. Like, I'm hoping the dollar is still worth more than the yuan by the time he's done humping us, but who knows?

I picked "other" because I am one of those dreamers who is with Milton Friedman and Murray Rothbard and Thomas Massie, Mike Lee and both Ron and Rand Paul on this issue.

So DJT politicizes the Federal Reserve, and the next presidential election (being optimistic here) sees a Democrat coming to the White House.

He's not "politicizing the Federal Reserve," he is seeking a reasonable lowering of interest rates in keeping with the ongoing financial success of his various economic policies.

Are Trumpistas OK that the new president uses that politicization precedent?

It's not a new "precedent." The Biden, and just about every other Administration since its creation, have sought the lowest interest rates for borrowing in order to improve the American economy. When the FED was uncooperative, Presidents were apt to take umbrage and try to "convince" that organization to cooperate.

Moreover, during the Obama Administration, the FED was so cooperative it had "near zero fed rates:"

Incorrect conclusion.

DJT has clearly demonstrated each time in office that his policies are to benefit him, and his standing among his followers.

See BLS recent personnel news.

🤣

What ongoing success? Which economic policies?

He wants the fed to lower rates because it'll look like his "policies" are working.

Absolutely.
This is the most dangerous thing Trump is dicking around with.

If Trump had really brilliant people waiting to take the reins, that would be one thing, but all he's got is a cavalcade of podcast guys and equity kings.

Brilliance doesn’t solve the problem, because nobody knows the "right" interest rate. If they knew the right interest rate, they'd all be trillionaires.

So frustrating that with Trump not in the best health, his VP is this asshole:

The fed has never been independent, except for maybe under volcker for a while. The fed is literally a creation of congress, it's a public institution, not private.
