Even if it is heavily regulated, I still highly doubt the safety. Some viruses can penetrate the condoms, which is proven by the scientific researches. Hookers have sexual intercourses with many people so it is not uncommon that they carry lethal, nasty or even unknown viruses. I am not so horny to the point of resorting to the hookers. Diverting my attention and doing other things or just masturbating is fine. I am not a prude. I am just protective of myself. It should be legal but heavily regulated to ensure the health of the prostitute and and customer are protected and for the financial protection of the prostitute. Frequent checks for STDs, no unprotected sex by both the prostitute and customer, and frequent health inspections of the place of business regardless if that business is private home, cat house or some other facility where the prostitute works. There should also be wage/pay protections to ensure that the prostitute gets to keep the majority of her pay earned from her services so that she is not taken taken advantage of by a pimp,'employment' agency, brothel, cat house or some other employer.
I would rather expect more realistic sex toys instead of hoping hookers are clean. Hey, a meticulously built space shuttle can explode. There is no way that a safety overlook can be eliminated.Make it legal, make it clean and disease free.
You can never stop it, but you can make it safe for those that partake and those who sell.

No "regulate and tax it?"
By all means. This is something that should have been done long ago. This country is so conflicted. Pornography everywhere, but prostitution is illegal. Amazing.
Having sex is not a dirty and sinful deed. Being promiscuous is. I think you misconstrue the religion. The society is not immature. I would rather it keep that way.I see no reason for it to be illegal, other than to appease social conservatives. Religion has made sex a dirty, sinful deed. Maybe it's time for society to grow up.
Prostitution bans are bull****. If you can give it away, you should be able to sell it. Makes no sense to me.
This. The older I get, the more I believe prostitution is a cancer on our society. It involves pimping, human trafficking, and, transnational slavery in many of Europe's "success stories" like Germany. If there was a way to guarantee that these illegal activities didn't thrive off prostitution, I'd be all for it. However, as these other illicit activities are required to ensure cheap labor in many countries, I don't support its legalization on a willy nilly basis. In some countries, prostitution may work, however in America's case, some areas of the country have proven they're really good at ignoring slavery and oppression of some individuals by other individuals. So I wouldn't trust any state to create laws which do more than regulate taxation and STD testing on these women.
Nope, just legalise it for individuals.

Oic. My point is the safety cannot be 100% guaranteed. Just like having a surgery. People dont take a surgery when the medicine can solve the problem. So is having sex so extremely urgent and of supreme significance that finding hookers is a must? The shuttle never exploded because of how it was built. Challenger exploded because a tank full of liquid hydrogen exploded. Columbia broke up because the structural integrity of the carbon-carbon leading edge of the wing was breached by a falling block of ice from the external tank.
So, given your example...the space shuttle/hookers are completely clean.
Find a better way to argue, that was pathetic.
So do you follow your God's instructions and not have sex?According to your petty and small god, not mine.
Hah - and we punish people who legally earn money by writing erotica and taking careers as adult entertainment.
Values - what values?

Has everything to do with it.that has nothing to do with the discussion and who said otherwise? lol
but you have got pork, chicken, octopus, turkey and many others as substitutes. there will be safe food for you.Buying a steak in a supermarket...safety cannot be 100% guaranteed.
Shall the transaction of human organs be legalized, too, in your logic?
The bodies of women are not commodities.
Think about it. If your female family wants to earn quick money by opening legs to horny men, will you still be this open-minded?
No, you wont.
This is not an age of tribe when the severe shortage of resources forces human to do what it takes to survive. The fact is that not a single normal citizen, unless she is in Africa, will ever starve to death. So why give in to the greed of having quick money? Go find a normal job. Dont be lazy.
Nothing is completely safe. The next minute we could be hit by a meteor. But do we need to worry about it? Nope. Because it is very unlikely. But here is a fact--hookers are more likely to carry STDs than the average women, agree?Buying a steak in a supermarket...safety cannot be 100% guaranteed.
Indulgence is the dark side of freedom. Yes, we as individuals have no rights or powers to prevent anyone from doing anything, which is why the government is established. Most, if not all governments ban prostitution. Is that a collusion to deprive citizens from enjoying happiness? Shall we revolt?Yeah, as long as the organs are given up voluntarily.
They aren't and legalizing prostitution wouldn't change that. You are selling sex, not your body. When you're done, you get to go home and do whatever it is that you do with full ownership over your body.
Yeah, not my business.
Wow, pretentious much?
We are arguing the legal implications, not the moral implications. I think prostitution should be legal. Does that mean I'm going to go be a prostitute? Of course not. Does that mean I approve? Again, no. But I recognize that it's not my place to tell other women what they can and cannot do with their own bodies. Furthermore, I recognize that preventing women from selling something they can give away for free is total and utter bull****.
Has everything to do with it.
My statement was about prostitution in general. Not just your daughter.no it doesnt lol
you said to the board "Better question is how many of you want your daughters doing it?"
as if that was a factor in the situation
I explained theres millions of things i dont want my daughter to do but i dont want them illegal and your replay was
"Its not the sex that is illegal, its the money transferring."
that factually has nothing because it doesnt change my answer, nor do you get to decide lol
try again
yes that was clear, nor did i claim otherwiseMy statement was about prostitution in general. Not just your daughter.
