The security checks and retrofit will take years. Boeing expects the new AF1 to be ready by 2027.

So much wrongness in this threat, difficult to know where to start.

But it is worth nothing Qatar is trying to gift a "luxury jet" to the benefit of a sitting President, Constitutional questions galore, and Qatar is also home to several high ranking members of Hamas all of whom are directly tied to Iran engaged in one hell of a mess with Israel. The relationship of Qatar government officials to Hamas is... complicated.

This whole thing f'ing stinks.

There is a Trump Presidential Library Foundation though, a tax-exempt entity Trump owns that can take ownership of the plane. He’ll have it “stored” at an airport near Mar a Lago, except when he’s using it to fly around the world in $400+ million dollars of absolute tax-free luxury.
