Yes, and before you tell me that I now believe in socialism, that was in place when I was born. Paid in all our life to something that was put in place before I could have made a choice or not.

My wife and 6 my friend and cousins didnt

It seems to be a pyramid scheme, you young ‘uns keep punching the time-clock!

That is indeed what it is, but, the problem is, older generations didn't have enough younguns - and aborted a large percentage of the ones they did have - to keep the scheme going at current rates.

The trick with any pyramid scheme is that eventually you run out of a larger set of new suckers to pay the older ones off. :-/

Get back to work, whatever it is you do won’t do itself!

;)

So you are not going to take it, correct?
Really, why would anyone pay in their whole life and not take it? What good is "principal" when you are retired and trying to keep up with this horrible inflation!!!!!!!!!!!

I only want to be in diapers once in my life, not when I am 80 years old

Will you be using socialized medicine, sorry, I mean Medicare? Who is going to cover your medical debts?

So they WOULD have received it had they not died... ;)
But they didn't, they could of used that money to go on vacations or invest it and get a bigger return

If you want to see inflation, imagine being 70 years and trying to buy medical insurance...

I never go to the doctors or ER, in fact I refuse

No, for two big reasons:

1. I'm too young, and I doubt SS will still be around when I come of age.
2. I didnt pay in enough since I only contributed 2 years worth of income before I moved overseas and became an expat.

Seems like a silly position but its your life.. Are you currently eligible and enrolled in Medicare?
