Do you know what terrible thing Kimmel said about Charlie Kirk that got him fired?

I have heard the right wing saying that Kimmel said a terrible thing about Kirk and it got him fired, so what was it that Kimmel said about Kirk. Here goes
"The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it."Charil
I guess I miss the point of saying something terrible about Charlie Kirk as it says nothing bad about Kirk, only the truth about the MAGAs trying to score political points with Kirk's murder. This comes down to Trump and his cronies using this as an excuse to get another comedian who makes fun of Trump and his MAGAs off the air by threatening the stations and the network to lose their licensee's if they fail to fire Kimmel. They are calling this hate speech, which as you can see it was not. If you want hate speech, listen to Stephen Miller or even Trump.

Exactly. This is why people like me have been arguing against the idea of government licensing since forever. Note that even after this, people like you will still support state licensing "for the common good".

Actually, I think it may not matter. These guys, Kimmel and Colbert, are way too hot to just stick on the shelf. They are going to have new gigs in some form and it's likely they will be less restricted in what they say than previously. They may go to another network, or simply do something online. I could easily see them producing UTube videos. The internet is basically wide open for anything they want to do.

For now, anyway. We can't put it past Trump to try to control that somehow.

Kimmel said about Kirk? Nothing. He went after MAGAs and Trump himself, which is what got the threat to ABC, and consequently Kimmel booted.

This is entirely about Trump's fragile ego, then resorting to fascism to silence opposition using the threat of government and/or lawsuits.

Authoritarians do not care about facts when they are attacking their rivals or trying to seize power.

Sure it is. Evil is only guaged from the perspective of someone depending on perceived or actual danger or harm to them.

From the standpoint of the lamb, a wolf is evil because it eats them alive. From the standpoint of a wolf, eating a lamb is not evil, it's survival. So who is objectively right?

Muslims think women not covering their hair is evil because it leads to a licentious and disordered society- a perceived harm. Some pacific islanders, on the other hand, are nudists and don't understand why anyone even wears clothes. Westerners fall somewhere in the middle- and think it's OK for women to show their hair, but not their chest or groin area, because that would be indecent and immodest. So who is objectively right, and who is objectively evil?

Were you against Biden & Co being in close contact with media and social media, pointing out what they claimed was "misinformation", based on their opinion of what misinformation was?
