Do Trump supporters think every other country should offshore its manufacturing sectors to the US? Trump and his surrogates say, for example "Cars shouldn't be made in Canada, they should be made in America." So no other country is allowed to have people working in manfucturing? Do Trump supporters think other countries should have sigficantly increased unemployment and possibly economic downturns? How is that fair or even logical? Isn't this turning the US into a giant economic parasite that steals jobs and drains propesparity from other countries?

I think they actually think that. They have become such isolationists and quite frankly woefully ignorant of the realities. However, that may change as they discover what made in America costs. Any company setting up shop in the US will have to pay tariffs for their raw materials and US labour ain't cheap nor plentiful. Some Trumpers will say they will proudly pay more for everything but easy to say that when it's never going to happen.

Schools in the USA apparently teach that not only is their country the best but that all the others are inferior and
only exist at The USA's pleasure and for its convenience. Perhaps this is not new and, for once, cannot be blamed entirely on Mr Trump,

That assumption can only be entertained by people who've never traveled outside America. Not only are they oblivious to all other advanced countries due to lack of personal exposure they're completely unable to objectively compare America to other advanced countries.

Many issues America struggles with simply don't exist in most advanced democracies. Competent governments have long ago solved problems that plague the US.
