I know we need fresh blood in the Democratic party, but Hogg's cannibalizing approach is not the way.

When Michael Moore had to cut off Hogg's microphone because he was saying stupid shit should have been a big clue that Hogg should never be given any power whatsoever. He should not hold a party office. He clearly should never hold public office.

He is useful as a street level rabble rouser, but nothing more.

Democrats eating their own. They don't have a clue how to be an effective opposition.

They really don't. I respect David Hogg, but I don't see him leading a movement that will be able to build coalitions. I know the fashion for prog Dems is to insist they don't need a coalition, that they just need to keep repeating Medicare for All and how billionaires suck and that will get them across the finish line. It's more complicated than that.

In my opinion, the DNC failed us BIGLY in the 2024 General Election.

Malcolm Kenyatta, a PA State Rep, takes umbrage with the amount of press coverage currently given to David Hogg.

Kudos to David Hogg!

Given a hypothetical choice to donate to just one entity between David Hogg, Malcolm Kenyatta or the DNC, I would choose David Hogg. I really don’t like the DNC right now!
David Hogg is a great "kid". His future is bright as hell.

I think the biggest issue was Biden running again and not holding a primary. I don't blame democrats for being upset about this I would be. I remember seeing Kamala running in the primary in 2019 and I don't think she won any delegates.

I don't doubt for a minute that this point in the DNC is going to be permanent. Think of it more as a regrouping.

Come 2028 Donald Trump can't run again. So I think it would be best and this is from a more conservative viewpoint for the party to focus on what they want to do in the future versus how bad Trump is. 2028 it's over you need a platform beyond that.

If the Dems can't capitalise on this current Trump shitstorm then I despair.
You can't count on running an anti Trump campaign, (edited) Dems need an engaging platform that embraces those who are sitting in the middle.

Well, you may have to become an independent to give to Hogg, the party isn't happy to him.

The Democrats are done.
This happens when your only modes of thought and action come down to a melodramatically binary choice between reflexive triangulation (DLC) and social media hot takes (the twentysomething progressives).

Taking a minute or two to parse your post:

On September 10, 2018, roughly 7 months after the Parkland High School Massacre, Michael Moore invited 18 years old David Hogg to speak at an event. David Hogg encouraged Canadians at the event to make financial contributions to American political candidates. Michael Moore informed David Hogg Canadians cannot legally contribute financially to American political candidates. No enmity between Moore and Hogg.

Since that incident, David Hogg, who turned 25 on April 12th, has completed a degree at Harvard, continued his political activism and won a seat on the DNC as a Vice Chair.

The DNC, with Jaime Harrison as Chair, failed the DEMs BIGLY! I donated $100 to the Jaime Harrison Campaign when he ran for the U.S. Senate against Lindsey Graham. Harrison lost 😡 BIGLY.

In 2020, the DNC, with Tom Perez as Chair, defeated Chump! Woo Hoo 🙌

Do you remember thinking Florida Congressional District 13 DEM Candidate Witney Fox stood a chance of upending Anna Paulina Luna? I live in that district. I met Rep. Luna in a cordial situation at a fundraiser. I voted for Fox. I didn’t think 🤔 Fox stood a remote chance of winning. I guessed right.

I didn’t expect Chump to win the 2024 Popular Vote; in fact, I bet $11,000 Harris would win the Popular Vote. Very disappointing result!
I didn’t expect Chump to sweep the 7 Swing States; I bet $6000 he wouldn’t sweep. Again, very disappointing result!
I made and lost two more parley-style bets on that General Election. In total, I I lost $25,000 overnight. Shrug. Fortunately, it hardly made a dent in my lifestyle.

I know this: I drank the kool-aid. Until you and i can find our way to the same page, the DEM future continues to look very DIM!

Hats off to David Hogg for rabble-rousing!

We need a liberal establishment bootlicker, like the other guy, because he's not cannibalizing their own.

The Center-Right Capitalists who run the DNC establishment can’t have Progressives in high offices, so they’d rather attack democracy itself.
