We've heard several stories from Trump as to why the friendship between he and Epstein ended. The latest is that Epstein stole a teen-aged girl from Trump.

But there has also been a story that it was over a real estate deal.

And supposedly, Epstein's legal problems started soon thereafter, and according to author Michael Wolff (hence why this is in CT), Epstein believes it was Trump who ratted him out.

Epstein believes the a Russian oligarch fronted the money. Then he purchased the property for more than twice the amount (money laundering).

Wolff: Now Epstein’s explanation for why this friendship ended is as follows.

In 2004, Epstein believed himself to be the high bidder on a piece of real estate
in Palm Beach—a house. His bid was $36 million.

He took his friend Trump around to see the house, to advise him on how to move
the swimming pool.

Trump thereupon went around Epstein’s back and bid $40 million for the house—
and got the property.Epstein, who was well acquainted and in fact deeply involved
with Trump’s scattered finances, understood that he didn’t have $40 million to pay
for this house.

Now, if that was the case, it was someone else’s $40 million. At the time, Epstein
believed this to be the $40 million of a Russian oligarch by the name of Rybolovlev.

Less than two years later, this same house that Trump had bought for $40 million
was sold for $95 million—and it was in fact sold to Mr. Rybolovlev.

This is all a red flag of money laundering.

And what Epstein did—and he was furious about losing this house—I mean, there’s
something about these guys, these men, that nothing rouses them so much as a real
estate betrayal.

Epstein, after this—the sale of this house, after Trump went around his back, got this
house—Epstein began to threaten with lawsuits, with going to the press and saying
that Trump was a frontman for a money laundering deal.

Trump panics at this point, and Epstein believed—that it was Trump who went to the
police and, as Epstein said, dropped the dime on him.

That is to say, informed the police of what was going on. And an investigation began,
and all of Epstein’s legal problems for the next 15 years began to unfold.

This story about this piece of real estate and their falling out was first published in June 2019.

It’s published actually in my book Siege, the second book I had written about the Trump White House.

Epstein had recounted this story to me. I put it in this book. Epstein, at that moment, was in Paris.

He read the book. He called me with some alarm, and he said he was afraid that he might have said too much.

Three weeks later, he returned to the United States from Paris and was promptly arrested on the
tarmac of Teterboro Airport in New Jersey when his plane landed.

As a reminder, Epstein's brother said the relationship ended because Epstein said Trump was a crook.

So to clarify. Epstein had proof Trump didn't have the funds, was engaged in illegal money laundering and had proof he was a pedo but somehow could use none of this against him to win the house.

Epstein must be the most incompetent blackmailer in history. I mean damn he's so incompetent he makes Kamala look intelligent.

Interesting.

Well, there's only one path forward: release all the Epstein material.

Try rereading the OP.

Oh I have. You folks keep claiming Epstein has proof of everything but then magically couldn't accomplish anything with it.

It's a funny sort of disconnect you keep alleging but not connecting.

That's why you have your title as a question. You want answers but not really. Your question is rhetorical and thus anyone who offers up real information about it you'll dismiss.

All the stuff you "question" can't be true because no one would have all power, information and ability and then just take it on the chin like that.

Seems Ron Wyden noticed the fishy deal back in 2018:

Bouvier isn’t the only one under scrutiny, however. Authorities in
Washington, DC, are investigating Rybolovlev’s purchase of a pricey
Palm Beach estate from now President Donald Trump for $95 million
in 2008. Less than two weeks after Rybolovlev’s name appeared in
the Kremlin report—a list of officials and oligarchs with close ties to the
Russian government who may receive sanctions—Senator Ron Wyden,
a Democrat from Oregon, sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Steve
Mnuchin requesting “a thorough investigation into any potential money
laundering or other illicit financial dealings between the president, his
associates, and Russia.”

Ironically, the cause for concern is yet another markup in price: Trump
purchased the home in 2004 for $41 million and then sold it to Rybolovlev
four years later for an additional $54 million.

Oh I have. You folks keep claiming Epstein has proof
Try again, maybe more slowly this time. There's a word in there that might help clear this up.

I'm glad you posted this, I couldn't find the 'conspiracy theory' forum. These comments from Michael Wolff were just released today, originally on YouTube by the Meidas Touch podcast. Meidas Touch was started by 3 brothers, but has expanded vastly to include many others. Ben Meisaeles was the attorney that represented Colin Kaepernick in his battle with the NFL.
Michael Wolff gave this story on their podcast, but it was picked up by multiple others.

I'm putting a personal disclaimer on this story that's buzzing around. I know Michael Wolff wrote a book about Trump called 'Fire and Fury'. It was met with a lot of criticism, accusing Wolff of lying and conspiracy theories. However, Michael Wolff also spent close to 1,000 hours (he claims) interviewing Epstein for a book about his life. Michael Wolff knows what Trump is capable of, and if he's out there pushing this story for publicity for himself, then he must realize that there's a good chance he could be murdered, or at the least, sued and bankrupted for life. So, I will hold my opinion until more information comes out about the validity of his story. If even half of it is factually correct, Trump is not only in jeopardy of being impeached, he's in jeopardy of being tried in a court of law for these crimes. And, I repeat, it is a big 'if'.

Here's the transcript printed.

Wolff has a controversial history as a sensationalist and not all of his information has been reliable, so I decided to put it here for now.

But Trump has never tried to sue Wolff...

When I first saw it, I wondered how he could be so calm while putting out such damaging 'information' on Trump. He knows what Trump is capable of. I have to wonder why a man would put his life, and that of his family, in danger just to get attention. He's getting that attention from Trump, too. And that's an excellent point, why would Trump not sue him over 'Fire and Fury'? Trump filed a cease and desist order, but Wolff was protected under the First Amendment. Fire and Fury was extremely damning of Trump, but this one, is sheer madness on Wolff's part if it's false.

Michael Wolff also talked about a photo that Epstein showed him. He supposedly spent 100 hours interviewing Epstein. https://washingtonmonthly.com/2025/07/20/the-wolff-epstein-tapes/

Ah, but if Wolff is just sharing what Epstein told him. If it is false, that would be on Epstein.

There are ways to find out if the story is true, real estate records would be one.

If Trump was fronted money from a Russian, that would not be recorded anywhere (except Putin's kompromat file on Donald).

Worse than a crook.
True. He is mentally deranged, obsessed with being a big flaming asshole to get constant worldwide attention. And even though he gets it, it is never enough. That is because attention is the last thing he really needs. That only feeds his addiction to attention. He needs therapy.

Virginia was just a young piece of ass to him as were the others Epstein and Maxwell lured away from his club. It was business to him a bruise on his fragile ego.

That might out out too. Everyone is focused on the salacious stuff. But Epstein was also a shady financier. Maybe Trump's real involvement was financial crimes.

I think Jeffrey hit on Ivanka………..
